Lvling Nin

My plan is to got thf/nin

but I've seen a few posts saying nin/war is one of the only combos looked for in a pt. I had originally planned going nin/thf till I got nin to lvl30 then going back to thf/nin and lvl till i hit 60. my question is, would it make more sence to got nin/war till nin hits 30 just so i can pt's easier, and thus lvl faster. Or is this a cookie cutter senerio where the posters are just saying nin/war because its easy. If it all possible id like to be nin/thf even if its not the most "Optimal" solution, I just dont want to be super gimped and looked down upon when ppl are forming pts

I still havent got nin adv job waiting till i hit lvl30 thf .. then gonna find me a high lvl to help. Theres a lvl36 whm/brd and a lvl30 whm in my ls. Not sure if they are high enough to help me with the 3 leeches i have to fight .. so any of you that got nin already that have insight to this pls let me know about that also.

Ninja/Warrior doesn't become optimal(arguably) until late in life. Don't waste your time leveling another job you don't plan to use just to level Ninja. Ninja/Thief will do just fine.

I have made it to lvl 30 with ninja doing nin/thf and went for nin/war after, sneak did me no good, since all my ws are element so they don't stack w/ ws excpet for blade:rin, but rin is a critical ws.

Anyways, if you really don't get a pt with nin/thf, just lvl your war to lvl 5 for provoke, you won't get much out of sub war till lvl 30 anyways for beserk.

As for killing leeches, you need lvl 50+ to solo, but since there are 3 leeches, I don't know how you will survive when they start chasing you after you examine the ???. Your 36 ,30 whm won't help and will die with you if they helped you.

This was posted elsewhere, so the idea isn't mine originally, but I don't remember where and it's easier to just type it than to go looking for the link. What you do is get a pet class (bst or smn). Trigger the coral with sneak (leeches won't aggro). Then pet class sends pet in on one leech, it dies and only that leech will come after the pet is dead. Kill leech. Repeat to pull 2nd leech, then kill last leech. What levels you need to kill a solo leech I'm not certain. A couple level 30s should do fine though I think. I also don't know if there's a time limit, so downtime between leeches could ruin the attempt if so.

I'm a thf and i like ninjas in my party when i make them, because ninjas make great tanks with the blink skill. i perfer a ninja with a sub war becuase when i fuidama (sneak + trick) off the ninja, that ninja can cast provoke and the monster will stick on it forever. If you don't believe me then i also did fuidama on another player(a drg) and the monster still hated the ninja, even with fuidama+ viper bite, the ninja still takes hate with a provoke afterwards.

THF job + NIN job in a party = exp whores and a broke ninja

You should sub WAR for THF before 30 anyway, so it will already be level 15 so you could use that. Unless you're an idiot who doesn't like to level his sub.
