There are tons of taru nin/wars on Ragnarok. Most of em are higher level than I.

in this situation -- taru will spend many gils for gear to make up for their melee skills being under par.

Just 2 days ago we had a small discussion like this one on my LS. To be precise, we did a /sea all gal whm. We found one lvl 70 and two lvl 69 and a bunch of 50+.

On paper, galka are the worst whm possible, and I dont think a sucky whm will get enough PT's to reach 50+. So if you have the dough to invest in good equipment to make up for your race shortcomings, anything is possible.
