Hume Ninja = Doable???

Ninja seems like the job for me. (#1 It looks cool and #2 I go crazy in MMORPGs if I don't have stuff to spend my money on 24/7) I would rather not be Mithra though, even if they are the best choice. There's just something about being a cat-woman when I'm a guy... can't quite put my finger on it... So anyway would I have some success?

Well I cant answer if you're gonna be a success or not sicne I dont have the game, but I'm gonna play a hume Ninja for you very same reasons: Can't dig playing a cat chick. But anyway, i think they are definately the next best choice for Ninja anyway and from what i've read the differences dont seem to matter too much (i think). But at the end of the day, better to play something that you think is cool and maybe a little less effective than play something which is effect but what you think sucks.

Ninja is considered one of the "Bastokan" jobs; that and Dark Knight I believe are the only jobs where the storylines are played out starting or finishing with characters who's hometown is Bastok. So maybe, deductively, you could say Humes were made to be Ninjas.

humes are simply great cuz if you want to chnge jobs to something completely different, you dont need to make a new character.

example would be a lvl 30 galka mnk suddenly wanting to be a bkmg, they would have a good reason to create a new character rather then changing jobs cause of galka's weakness of mp.

If you are hume, you can be any job, including ninja.

ALL jobs were made for hume. Infact its when you expand to the extreme races of taru and galka where you start having difficulties.

Yes my sentiments exactly. In most other games, the non human races excel at one thing but suck at another. While humans although they dont excel at anything usually gain skills or stuff faster. I wish FFXI took the same approach. I mean compare humes and mithra. Mithra are just as good as humes only better, same with elvaan. All non hume races have an advantage, while humes have none. IMO that makes humes disadvataged =P
