Accumulate! I bet it's like accumulate in ff tactics u accumulate phys strength... am i right?
Yes, Im not sure about added str but it does increase dmg ouput. Very useful skill but its only for the very first succesful hit. Like if you accumulate before the battle, as soon as you land that first blow it goes away. Im just glad its on a short refresh timer.

I think you might got it way around...
Monk has "Martial art" ability. which "reduce" delay time for any punching type weapons. so basicly having MNK as main or sub will make you punch faster. not slower

I knew the skill increased attack time for grappling (punching type weapons). But back when I first made that post I didn't know if claws were part of grappling (which I now know they are) or if they were their own class of weapon (like 1-h sword, 2-h staff). So I was wondering if it's better to just use grappling instead of claws. But now I know that claws is the same ability/skill as grappling (punching) so they will also benefit from the increased attack time for grappling skill.
But thanks for answering anyway, you've answered more of my questions than everyone else combined!
Until the lvl cap gets to lvl 82, Energy ball cannot be used when monk is a sub.
That Accumulate + Energy Ball thing is hellified, but it sounds like a starter or an ender.
Yeesh, maybe I shouldn't have bumped this? :|

Yes, this bonus applies for ALL grapple weapons (claws, sestas, katars, patas, etc.). Not using a grapple weapon is foolish. You'll be minus the damage bonuses and other potential stats boosts. There is NO advantage in fighting bare-handed.
There are a few advantages I see in fighting bare-handed.
1. Claws add a delay to your attack timer. Therefore making you attack less often, get less critical hits, at level 51+ you use your kick attack less, passive sub class abilaties such as double attack and tripple attack occour less often and you gain your TP slower and cannot use your TP attacks as often. Attacking more often also helps you gain skill faster so you can cap ur hand skill and move on to staff or someting else for the rest of the level.
2. Claws cost money and take time to acquire.
Although claws do more damage per hit they may not always be a great idea to use.
For example (hypothetically speaking):
Barehanded I do avg 15 dmg per hit and attack every 3 seconds
(5 damage per second barehanded)
my claw adds +2 damage +90 delay (lets call that 2 seconds)
with claws I do avg 17 dmg per hit and attack every 5 seconds
(3.4 damage per second with claws)
some claws add less delay and some add more damage its all about getting a good feel for your char
