  • Pants at 60?

Nearing level 60 and been looking at my options for leg wear. The AF pants are what most people use but I see them being very useful in a party, seem to be more defensive than offensive.

I could instead stick with the master's sitabaki, but I don't think dex+1 is worth keeping for real long. I could always save up about 200K and but master's sitabaki+1....but then I am spending 200k on just 1 more point of dexterity (vit and agi don't really matter imo).

Then there are those new CoP pants that give Counter+2 (name escapes me atm)...but not sure if these would really be any different from AF. Any advice?
Destiny is calling...will I be able to answer?

I just use my Temple Hose. Alot of people I see have the Master Sitabaki +1. At level 72, i'll probably use the Rasetsu Hakama. Not many options for pants wear.

The pants that add +2 counter are Aikido Koshita.

Sorry m8, that's just how it goes

If chances are one million-to-one that something will go wrong, there's still a 50-50 chance it won't..

I would wear your Temple Hose, if nothing else it gives you more HP, which can make a healers job a bit easier. You won't ever really get any pants that help your offence besides Rasetsu at 72, so just use the Hose.

I used Republican Subligar all the way to 72, when I switched to Rasetsu.

IMO, a mnk should focus on dealing damage, and i don't think there is another pants out there that that monks can use that are better for doing that then Republican subligar. (even though, end game, they're not very impressive, there just aren't many options.) Sometimes, the subligar made the difference between a mob that was IT, and a mob that was IT low defense. That difference counts. Even Rasetsu isn't as good, offensively. I just switched because, we'll, it was time for a change lol.

Could I wear the CoP pants w/o having CoP?

It may seem like a dumb question but in the last MMO I played you were able to do anything you wanted (like buying new expansion pack gear, etc.) except for visiting new areas.

So could I wear CoP equips?

                Exactly....

Honestly unless your other gear is at or near perfect, concentrate more on it if you wanna spend gils and just use the Temple Hose.

If your 1 of those, "I want the best I don't care what it costs" then save for the master sabiki +1.

But 200k for 2 dex is a bit harsh, so just hold out for now.

If you can afford Master's Sitabaki +1, and already have other quality items, go for them. Something that has not been mentioned yet regarding Master's Sitabaki +1 is that they help improve WS damage (granted +2 VIT is meager, but its still a factor). According to Studio Ghobli's extensive testing, VIT is a stat that factors into certain MNK WS damage calculations. So if not for the +2 DEX (which I consider to be worthless), atleast consider them for the +2 VIT.

I think we can all agree that even the biggest statwhores amongst us would find it very difficult to tolerate the look of subligar. Unless you are a female Monk, in which case, please by all means, use them!

If you are unwilling to pay for the Master's Sitabaki +1, and can't tolerate Republic Subligar, then why not pimp it up with the Aikido Koshita? Offensively useless, but they are damn fine looking pants. If you are gunna stick with the AF Legs, which are also offensively worthless, atleast buy the Aikido Koshita to get away from the Bermuda shorts look.

Could I wear the CoP pants w/o having CoP?
                  99.5% positive that you can.
