Activating the Black Belt quest, how?

Dunno if anyone has this thing...just got my Behemoth Tongue today, gonna be hell getting the other two. Sho' nuff.

Regardless, I've been told by a fellow monk that has hero Norg fame that he can still not open this quest. Riceballs are something like 146 or something for him, he's does Purple and Brown Belt...and nothing. Of course, he has a bit of a way to go yet, but I'm slowly eeking to that glorious day...but I don't know what the hell I need to have riceballs at to get there.

@155 now, of course that's too high. Just wondering if anyone had a JP friend or something that could give a holler. Only man I know got it doesn't speak English, and people seem to be scared to ask him for me. (Even though he's an easy going guy.)

The NPC is Vola in Neptune's Spire, Lower Jeuno. (Though he's tried all the other Tenshodo people too.)

I believe you need to be level 71+ in order to activate the quest—provided you have high Norg fame and have done the purple and the brown belt quests already.

Well, I'll just do what he did. When I get all 3 items I'll go to bastok and windy an do Norg fame quests. The other monk is 70, so maybe you do need to be 71. I've been 75 forever, so I guess it's just down to trading every frickin' Iron Ore, and Yag Bead Neck I can.

I can't do what he did, and ask other LSs for the item, there's only one other NA LS that can take Nidhogg, Aspi, and they have like 3 monks. All other LSs JP, and I've been led to beleive I'd get laughed at if I asked them for items.

There is definately a level requirement, my guess would be early 70's as well. Obviously, you also need the Purple Belt and Brown Belt quests finished too.

You need a lot of Norg fame as well. More than is needed for Levithan. I had most of the Norg unique quests done, and I still needed to trade in pleny of Iron Ore in Bastok to open the quest up.

It's a level 70 requirement (same level as the belt itself, makes sense) to open the quest, of course after you have completed the purple and brown belt quests. And yes you need a rediculous amount of fame. I had to turn in about 40 extra yagudo necklaces to get enough fame, and I had leviathan fame beforehand. Anyway just talk to Vola after you think you have enough fame and that will start the quest.

I traded a good 100 ore to the dude in Bastok, came back to Jeuno and riceballs are 144. XD

Granted Allakzaham has it WRONG for the quest. Mysterytour has it correct.

3. It is event generating when Â?Å“Â?Å“Wyrm Beard is traded with the door of a Tenshodo entrance.
4. Talk to Degenhard in Bastok Markets(H-9).
5. NM (Behemoth or King Behemoth) in Behemoths Dominion is defeated, and Â?Å“Â?Å“Behemoth Tongue
comes to hand.
(King Behemoth : 100% drops)
6. It is event generating when Â?Å“Â?Å“Behemoth Tongue is traded with the door of a Tenshodo entrance.
7. Talk to Maat in RuLude Gardens(H-5).
8. NM (Adamantoise or Aspidochelone) in Valley of Sorrows is defeated, and Â?Å“Â?Å“Adamantoise Egg comes
