dune boots?

does anyone have any information on getting these? i know their hidden effect, the spawn location, the NM and all.. but does anyone know what the spawn time or condition is? lottery or random 24 hour pop, or... what? and does anyone know the drop rate? my friend says theyre very common, maybe 100% drop, but doesnt know for sure.

theres a lot of info posted about them. on the upper right of the scren hit search, then type in dune boots and youll come up with about 10 topics.

the search feature for FFXIOnline.com is pretty slick.

Anyway, the NM has always been up the 6-7 times ive been to his spawn area.

afaik its 100% drop, killed it once and it dropped it and cactuar root.

dont underestimate this fight, id suggest a full alliance 70+ or 1 HNM uber geared out 74-75 group. When i killed it a long time ago we were mostly 65-72, about 15 of us. It was a very very hard fight and we pretty much all used our 2 hours and threw everything we had at it. Was probably the most fun kill Ive done and the most difficult. If you have an uber paladin tank it, it will not be too bad. It double hits and then big damage hit (kick) each round, a ninja really sucks for tanking it. It also does 1000 needles often, when its about to die it goes into spam mode with 1000 needles. So at a minimum youll need 15 level 65-72s

i searched but theres only 1 topic talking about dune boots, besides the ones talking about hidden effect which i already know about. thanks for the info though. i guess if its randomly up then it must just be random pop, although ive never seen it while passing through. guess ill keep looking

What do they do. I have seen many monks use them but I have no idea what they. I heard it had something to make your dmg when kicking deal more dmg or something like that. I play a thf and im going to be moving to mnk when my thf is 74 or so but if you dont mind telling me what they do thanks.
