Do katars/hooks/claws do blunt damage?

I've always heard that the blunt damage done with hand to hand weapons were great against bones.

but just looking at katars/claws/hooks, they don't look blunt, plain and simple.

now, is it just a graphical change, or do claws do slashing, katars piercing, etc. ?

I've been wondering the same thing...however I'm on vacation and unable to try it out....I plan on trying it as soon as I get home and I will post the results here if no one else has.

PS: I really hope they don't so I can get some use out of katars (check out my avatar)

I believe enemy resistances to damage are moreso based on the weapon type itself (æ_¼é—˜ã€?片手剣ã€?両手斧ã€?etc), not any kind of specific (pierce, slice, bludgeoning)...

Counterexamples:
2HPolearm Halberd = Slash/Pierce?
1HAxe Pick=Pierce?
1H Sword Bilbo/Rapier=Pierce?

I hope that Katars did slashing dmg. Othewise I have no use for them...
