  • Monk/????

I am a mnk and I want to know how WHM, BLM, and RDM would work for a sub job.

Not too well in a party.

If you plan on using the strongest sub for a party experience then use warrior and never switch. If not i dunno cause i didn't solo past 15

Full AF "Paragon of Monk Excellence"
    Genkei 5 Completed
Rank 10 San, Rank 8 Windy, Rank1 Bastok
    Zilart and CoP Missions Complete
93 Merrits, slacking need to work on that..
Shura Haidate +1, body and head.
    Faith Torque, Black Belt , 3/5 Tu'lia Set, 4/5 AF2, 1/5 AF+1

lol, I'm starting to feel like a backup singer for Futrid here :-D

I do have a little more experience with MNK/MAGE than he does though. My blm is 17 for warp, and I absolutely love having that option. Made doing RSE an absolute dream. My solo sub is rdm, and it rocks. the en- spells, regen, etc. along with the sneak/invis that are the reason I leveled it are great. I've had a lot of people tell me that whm is a more effective solo sub, and they may well be right.

That said, if you sub mage to melee for exp pts you're an inconsiderate knob. It took me 42 levels as a mnk/thf to realize that mnk/war is the only way to play it. Our best weapon skills don't stack well with sneak attack at all. My /thf will always be a pt option after 60 for dama flexibility (along with /sam for spamming rangeki on bones), but until then it's only for farming. Always for farming, though.

you can solo anything you damn well please to solo til valk, and whm and rdm work very well for that.

this is all info thats already available if you're willing to look, but if you have any questions you can't find answers to we're happy to help ^^
