  • Would like to recieve advice.

Hello, currently I have the game for pc, my character jobs thus far include, DRG 34, THF 30, War 25,. On Mar. 23 I will create a dedicated LS once my brother purchases the game for PS2. Durning that time and the rest there of I will be switching to the MNK class. There are many misconceptions about the MNK and there power which is really utterly ridiculous, but this is really not the meaning for this post.

My question is how effective will the party I will choose will be. There will be a BRD, WHM, BLM, (casters and support) and THF, PLD and my self MNK (Mellee). Can any high lvl MNKs/persons tell me the different Reinkie possibilities of this party, as I would like to have very good balance possibilities with the Reinkie, I would love to just spam Raging Fist and have my brother use Viperbite all day in the Renkie, but is this possible. The Reinkie chart in the game guide is pretty lacking so I will really appreciate the advice.

Also can some one please tell me the possible levels all of my members and I will be able to adventure together so that I would be able to obtain the purple belt and brown belt, the gigitsu gi and the kote etc, all of the hard items that are given through drops/ quests. I will also be adventuring with them for items they would like to recieve whether it's BRD's spells or WHm's teleport spells or Weapons, or the like. I just need to know the possible lvls that we all could do these things together.

So can anyone give me information about the aforementioned things above. The vialiblity of my team, it's Renkie abilities, and the possible lvls we can quest together for rare items, quest items and the like. I know this is alot of information I would like to recieve, so thank you in advance to all of those who respond.

Thats a great PT line up, you are good to go. The THF can Fuidama off you (mnk) and not worry about you dying from hits since MNK=High HP.
      Go with it.
As far as a Renkai, i cant say Raging works with Viper, but im pretty sure Backhand Blow > Viper Bite works (and vice versa).

+302 lvls gained (not including the -20 for purposely deleveling BRD to 45)

If you havent played BST past 35, you havent played BST.

I PTed with my LS at lv1 for fun sure exp sucked, but we had a laugh... the adviced lvl for partying is lv8~ for mage, lv10 for melee..

For item hunt, it's a different story, since lvl difference isn't a problem, so if you want an easy time, bring a high lvl friend, if you prefer tasting the design of the quest, then play same lvl... as for what lvl for which quest... I don't know for sure, Ram NM for purple belt can solo a lv39 MNK/THF(who is also soloing) if it uses its skill... brown belt quest has to fight a beak, malboro, and tiger NM... all hard monsters

As far as items go, with your crew it would seem the best way to go is level up and do things like BCNM events to raise money to buy what you want. Things like the kote or the belt quests rely on alot of camping, which is a horrible waste of man power for a group.

So, save those beastmen seals and at 40 you can start trying BCNM events. Also in the 40's through 50's you can start doing various AF quests. If everyone knows how to play, and you all use the right subjobs, your gear should fall into place.

So is it practically a wast of time to hunt NM's? I usually can pull down about 20k and hr with my farming techniques, which could amout to about 1milion whith 2straight weeks of farming 5-6hrs a day. This is very very tedious and boring and long but it works. Is there anyother methods that you guys use that is much faster? also is there a guide some where which explains the areas to lvl post 40? I never have gotten to 40 yet because of lvling my subjobs and wiating till Mar. 23 when my bro. gets the game. thanx alot for all the replys

your gil farming is going to be just as preductive for equipping yourself as hunting nm's...

i want my brown belt before 60... so ima save for it lol
