Ok here is what I have been thinking and its been on my mind a few weeks now. With a MNK/WAR whats the best thing to go for STR,DEX,accuracy or attack? This is comeing from someone that has played a THF/NIN from beta to retail and. I was lvl 50 in beta and now Im Lv55 THF right now and got bout 3-4 other jobs at 20 or over 20. I know that you should go for more STR where like 2 STR = 1 attack. I just dont know what stat I should try to work on more. The more feed back I get the better and thanks so much for the ones that can help me.

For me as a hume mnk/war I'd order it as Atk / Acc / Dex / Str in order of importance

Im not a mnk myself, but I have quite a bit of game experience. All of my mnk friends say STR is the most important stat. Btw, dex isnt such a great stat...2dex=1 accuracy. Only reason dex gear is so much is that it increases •sˆÓ—§‚¿(sneak attack) dmg for thf. Out of those four stats id go STR/attack or acc/DEX....basically with the attack vs. acc, boost accuracy enough so you hit a decent amount of the time, and boost attack up to do a good amount of dmg per hit.

Syara or someone could probably have a better explanation for you though.

Yeah, I been planing on going MNK/WAR, THF/NIN is kinda getting old but I love THF/NIN a lot I just want to know what gear is going to be the very best for me to have you know as a MNK so I can start saveing for it.

Doesn't +Dex increase the occurance of Critical hits?

Yep. And 2 strength = 1 attack, and I don't think it does anything else.

Actually from what i've been told, Str determines your base dmg against an even mob, so you can increase your ATK all you want (that will increase your maximum potential dmg).

But if you don't get alot of criticals or high dmg hits (depends on your luck), then your hits will seem very weak compared to others. I guess the best way to go is balance out your str and atk, so your base dmg is decent, and your atk is high, and concentrate on accuracy more than dex, (cuz you'll hit more often wit higher acc), but don't leave out dex as that will give you criticals for high dmg.

so if your'e going high ATK, then make sure you have high DEX

if you're going high STR, make sure you have high ACC so you won't miss alot, and you'll do alot of dmg over time

Dex hardly raises the crit rate, I'm a thf with DEX+24 and i don't notice a ton of crits. 2 STR is one attack, also STR increases the max damage you do and for mnks its factored into the calculation for the D of their weapons.

Being elvaan mnk myself i would say
Accuracy > Attack > Dex > Strength > agility > vitality

of course us elvaan have accuracy issues...
