How do i make money as a monk? (new player)

I've been reading a few posts around here and somthing occured to me. Just how in the heck are you guys making money in this game as a monk and other proffs? Im sorry that this might sound retarted to most of you but i am new AND the games i came from (think anarchy online, swg type of games) had mission booths lined near the gates and stuff that i could get missions from and get cash.

Yeah im a poor ass monk and im only lvl 3 (about to go lvl soem more lol) and im wanting to get some armor and hand to hand weponds but cant afford crap, so any help would be hot ^.^

Names Loverboy (hey..i was tired and bored lol) on Pheonix server, so maybe i'll see some of you guys there.

Btw, anyone got a list of what moves monks learn at early lvl? I just learned combo by getting my fists to lvl 10. but i dont know at what intervels the things change. Thx again :D

when i'm hard up for cash i do one of several things in no particular order:

1) kill beastmen who are too weak to be worth while for gil drops (as 30+ mnk/thf this is decent gil in places that are largely deserted). You don't really interfere w/anyone and get 30-50 gil/beastman + drops (depending on level of beastman).

2) Fish.

3) run around checking on NMs that aren't camped anywhere and everywhere. If I see someone sitting around near a spawn point I just roll on through b/c I don't wanna be a jerk or instigate drama by butting in.

4) Mine, Harvest, or Log

5) level up a lower level job solo for crystals/gil/drops.

most reciently i've been blowing a lot of cash into crafting, hoping to see a profit out of it soon but it's a lot of work and i've spent at least 40-50k on it, haven't found anything that has amazing profit.

anyway, i'm sure there's better ways... best thing is probably just get signet from the guards then go out and kill easy pray for (non-earth) crystals, sell by the stack on auction house.
