What EXACTLY do I have to do to get the Purple belt?

All I know is that I need the horns of those big rams,
but do I need one from each? just one?
And who do I have to go to to get the quest?
what lvl do I have to be (I know the belt is lvl18~)? how much fame do I need if any?

1. u need a horn from lumbering lambert or bloodtear baldurf (drop same horn) and rampaging ram or steelfleece baldarich (drop same horn. so 2 horns total, one is lumbering horn and the other is called rampaging horn
2. u need to 1st, have done the Beauty and the Galka quest and Shady Business both from Talib on the lower level of warehouse 2 of port bastok. then you must either repeat Shady Business 9 more times or obtain membership in the Tenshodo by having either significant fame or buy a tenshodo invite from the AH then talk to Ghebi Damomohe in the neptunes spire (lower jueno) and if u have the invite already trade her it, or choose the 3rd option from the menu which will have no text in it. Ghebi will then give you a Tenshodo Mebmership Application form. Go to the Warehouses in Port Bastok and speak to the NPCs there to finish the application form. Return to Jeuno and speak to Ghebi. You will get a membership card, and a Tenshodo Invite.
uhh the rams are about lvl 40 to solo, im not sure about ina party

brown belt can be done fairly easy w/ a full well put together group of people in the 40's the only problem you should have is getting to nue but if everyone is 45+ it will be easy and not much will aagro u in any of the regions the nm's are in

What are the pop rates, I actually got a person to help today, but we never found one in Konschtat.

well...
1st off the nm/hnm rams only pop out of the southern rams in both regions (2 rams spots per region), i have the spots exactly in another post on the subject the one howler started.

well rams pop like every 15mins irl
i think the nm's pop around 1.5 hrs irl
and the hrms pop every 3 days so u have a 3 day window to get them to pop before you have to wait for some high lvlers to kill the hnm. its not that bad of a hunt if u have a rng sub at like 15 ish

I'm just gunna buy it, solo the quest at lvl 40, get the brown belt, and sell both Purples for the current market price. ;x

Yeah I just bought mine for like 20k. Its worth it though,much improvment over my white belt heeh.

getting a brown belt isn't easy men... u have to get 3 items from nm's, and one of them spawns every 24-36 hrs... in real time, of course... and if u don't know when it was last defeated, u have to wait and wait and wait for it to spawn... yeah, defeating it isn't difficult, but u kinda have to be lucky to find the nm...

from the lvl 61 mnk who hasn't got a brown belt yet...
