WASR?MNK the whole game

what happens if i had no advanced job the whole game and just had basic jobs like this WAR/MNK? would that turn out good. plus what would MNK improve for my WAR?

Yeah i see no problem with having no advance job
The war/monk and war/pal is popular because of there raise of def and attack

i was just kind of scared having only WAR/MNK becuase you dont see it that much. most ppl will get an advanced job but i wanted something with STR and DEF so i said maybe this will work...

Warriors and Monks are both very viable jobs to play all the way up to level 70. So are all the starting jobs, in fact. The starting jobs consist of a healer (White Mage), a good tank/ good fighter (Warrior), an all out damage dealer (Monk), an all out damage dealer/ hate controller (Thief), a Nuker (Black Mage), and an all around support job (Red Mage). They are all VERY useful in high level parties and high level NM battles.

If anything, the starting are MORE potent than the advanced jobs. Dark Knights are very hard pressed to find a party at high levels because they can't renkei for sh*t. Samurai and Ninjas have the worst WS in the game. Samurai can switch to a spear (a weapon in which they are not that good with) and do Penta Thrust over an over, though. And Summoner and Ninja are some of the most attractive jobs in the game to play... to bad they are both an extreme dissapointment.

Not all the advanced jobs are as bad as I made them seem, though. Paladins are vital to the high level game, as they are the best tanks. Rangers are the undisputed kings of damage with their weapon skills. Bard is the best support job in the game. Dark Knight, Dragoon, and Samurai all deal a good amount of damage. Beastmaster is the only job that is efficient at soloing.

So basically, you can't really go wrong with picking a starting job to be your main job. Advanced jobs are not necissarily better, and are sometimes worse.
