Hume MNK/THF or Mithra MNK/THF?

I like the sound of MNK/THF, and would like to be either Hume or Mithra. I think a Mithra Monk looks cool, but I would just like to know the main pros and cons of the 2 races as a Monk with Thief subbed.

Humes have more Str and Vit which would probably be useful for the Monk, but Mithras have more Dex and Agi which would be useful for the Thief, so I'm finding it hard to seperate the 2.

I don't know man...cuz i dont have the game yet. But whenever it comes out for ps2 in march im definitly getting it. I really want to be a mithra monk/thief. A lot of posts have said that galka is the best race for monk, I kinda feel like being different and i also think mithra's are cool looking...and i like being more accurate at attacking

Anyway, I've stopped thinking about 'which race is better'. Mithra's probably make the best Mnk/Thfs, but oh well.

I'm gonna start playing on Sunday when I get home with the game and I'm just going to be a Hume, because I want to. After reading alot around at various forums, I think too many people think too much into race. Sure some races are best suited to some classes. But I ask people this, it's all really about fun in the end isn't it?

Just choose the one you like the best. Many people also consider the looks. In a way that's important since it will represent you in the game.
Good thing you are NOT choosing an Elvaan. They look aweful in the actual game. :confused:

if you are a guy, but can get over playing as a woman ( a hot woman non the less ) get mithra. they are the best class all round, because they are like humes, but with better agility and dex.

Me likes it, really. No big complaints except that I wanna level more to see how well Sneak Attack works with a MNK mainjob... but I can only blame myself for not being 30/15 yet... actually I could blame my job...but winning the lottery prolly aint gonna happen, so hafta werk.

just so u know, sneak and trick attack w/ thf sub won't be as strong as main thf. as a main thf, the damage is calculated based on ur dex and agi, but when used as a sub, u won't get the bonus of those 2 stats. meaning, sneak attack is critical hit only, and trick attack only puts the hate onto the tank.

nevertheless, u will see a constant increase in damage when sneak attack is used w/ ws'. also, the great advantage of sneak attack is that it's a 100% hit when successfully used. note that w/ multi-hitting ws' such as rangeki, 100% hit only applies to the 1st hit, so u may miss the rest.

evfaan make a very good monk

i found out that the elfaan race make the betst monk there hps are higher then most of the othere races and if u would look it up the elfaan is exelent for this job if u do not beleave me go to casters real they show u the down side to every race and what job they are best at

Elvaans make good monks, but Galkas are the best without a question. Monk sub job goes will with WAR most of the time even with Mithra it's recomened to go sub war because of Mithra low STR.

mnk/thf is something you will most likely be doing anyway if your goin monk tho to aid in gil farming..

i'm elvaan mnk/war and i'll tell you it don't get fun untill quifim.. untill then it's boring as hell...
at 30 get your thf to 15 and see how you like mnk/thf untill then there's no way to make the decision so just lvl both subs and see which you like best...

between hume mithran? definatly mithran.. but i'm an elvaan guy myself
