  • High Level Monks

Looks like I am seriously considering a monk. I was wanting to do a light fast dual weilding swordswoman (like a merc in DAOC), but it doesn't look like that is really possible in this system.

Monk may come closest to a balance of what I would like. Heavy hitting, evasion, etc. Also claws just "work" for a Mithran.

So I am looking at Main Monk, sub Warrior.

    My concern is this...

I have seen in several places where people have said that monks after lvl 30 start losing efficiency and become less viable characters.

Is there anyone out there that has seen high level monks in action or played them that can support or argue that point?

Efficieny dips a slight bit from 30-40...

but from 41 and up, there's a marked difference because of new abilities given (also, as sub Warrior, the granted passive and active abilities make you that much more a viable force once double attack is activated)

at 65+, you'll definitely see the rewards of your labor in abundance, otherwise, MNK is a class that you really have to have patience with along the way...

Light, fast swordswoman... Just be Thief/Ninja, you can duel wield with that

Well, thieves use daggers, not swords.

How effective of a combo would that be?

Well, you could use the daggers, but you could also be a Ninja/Thief too. From what I've gathered, Ninja and Thief are practically made for eachother.
