mnk/drk!!!!

When the game comes i out i want to be a mnk/drk the reason for this is (i think) monks have ok def drks have good atk i also want to use hand to hand wepons they rock will the drks attack boost help out my monk become the hardest hitting monk out there r what???

Thats the combo that I also want to use. I just bought the import but I havent really started playing (install took me forever!) Im not also sure what to use as a sub job untill get to be a dark knight. If anyone else can recomend anything else for a sub class.

MNK/DRK blows

I guess it's an ok combo, Darkness and Last resort are good, but the BLM will be completely useless. I still think a MNK/SAM is better, with Hearts Eye you have a gauranteed counter plus SAM has good STR VIT and HP. Lastly, MNK WS are awesome, with SAM TP gain abilites my MNK/SAM would destroy your stupid MNK/DRK

EDIT: WAR and THF are the two best choices for a MONK at low lvs with the WAR probably slightly ahead.

Hearts Eye will not give you a guaranteed counter... Hearts Eye makes you evade the next attack, whereas counter only triggers if the monster were to hit you.

I was told (I believe by DJ Playskool) that if you do Hearts Eye it counts as a dodge and the MNK WILL counter. I could be wrong though, it's happened before.
