    Is it a decent ability?
I heard that the other jump types aren't that great, and the dragoon job isnt that powerful because of that (that means no PT invites and such)
What i want to ask is: is super jump powerful enough to make dragoon wanted a bit more? And how does it compare to other high level techniques of other jobs?
I really like the dragoon class since i first saw Kain in FF2 but i played a sucky class in EQ and i know the pain of not gettin PT invites

Oh BS, lol, as long as you've got an up-to-date subjob and you're a nice friendly person, any job'll get invites. The main issue is getting picked above someone else. As a melee, dragoons aren't as highly sought-after as most, but really you'll still get invites. I had a PT once where the only melee were 3 dragoons, and we actually kicked a good deal of ass.

Anyways, moving onto the subject at hand. I don't quite have first-hand experience with the ability as of yet, but I'm 5 levels off now. If no one else's posted about it by then, I'll certainly return with a more detailed report. All I know at this point is that it does some wholesome damage, and you're gone for a while.

I'm not sure if any other importer dragoons are 50 yet other'n Aseuk, but I dunno if he posts here often. Ayako? Ya there yet? Well, info will get to ya one way or another <^^>

Yeah, super jump makes you invincible for a few seconds. Doesn't seem too bad for me. Especially if you're tanking.

Jumps are strong, DRG doesnt really miss that much, esspeccially if you have the equipment that raises your accuracy and dexterity.

The only people who would say DRG isnt strong or misses alot have experianced a DRG who isnt raising his DEX~ or accutacy.

After LV 34(when a DRG gets his 1st Lance) our str, accuracy and speed is unmatched~.

Wait-a-minute... does that mean the weakest spear is for level 34 or above?

That seems rather high to me... what would you use till then?

Notice how he said the first LANCE. Sure lances/spears/tridents same category but lances are stronger and slower. spears/tridents are faster and weaker. Well...at least thats what I think.. oo btw OneWingedDemon do skills rely on your stats too because you said you get +dex equipment you wont miss with jump.

Stats do count~ Your stat Dexterity is for melee(all attacks besides range weapons like bow and gun). The more dexterity you have, the more accuracy attribute you have, so the more times your attacks will nail the target.

Dexterity increases your accuracy attribute(which is hidden, you cant see how much you have of accuracy). Some equipment soley raises accuracy attribute, this equipment is more effective than Dex+ equipment but could be a tad more expensive. 2 kinds of accuracy attribute are, melee accuracy(Lances, spears, and tridents included here) and range accuracy(for stuff like bows and guns).

DRG naturally gets a melee accuracy attribute bonus raise up at LV 30.

Looks like we will have to wait for Cobalt Katze to level to 50+ to know the truth

Oh, hehe, I've been 50 for a while. I posted Super Jump info in another forum, but basically this is how it works:

                          Delay Time: 5 mins

What happens: You jump up into the air. Any hate the enemy used to have towards you is lost. After a few seconds in the air, you come back down and resume battle as normal.

Note: This doesn't work soloing. Once you come back down, the enemy will hate you again <^^>

Ok, cool ... too bad about the hate though ... that coulda been a good trick if the hate stayed ...

Tell us more! Damage, effectiveness, uses in PT ... we're all ears! This is what DRG is all about, after all.

Oh. Well, basically the entire point of Super Jump is to shake off hate from you. The jump itself doesn't actually attack. You jump up, wait 4-5 seconds, then come back down. The attack-based jumps are Jump and High Jump.

See, dragoons aren't meant to tank at level 50+. Their armor and def are nothing compared to jobs such as Paladin or Warrior, who should do most of the damage-taking.

Super Jump works best in a PT situation like this: Let's say you're doing the WS Penta Thrust. This is an insanely powerful attack, and draw lots of hate. You don't want the hate though, it needs to be directed to the tank. He taunts, and it doesn't work. If you use super jump though, the hate is lost and you don't have to panic anymore :3
