What your wyvern does, depends on your sub whether is is melee, or caster. For monk, it is considered melee, so wyvern will do breath after your ws.

Ok, the way I see it, there are two kinds of melee jobs, tanks and damage dealers. Tanks protect everyone and damage dealers beat the living crap out of stuff. If you wanna be a Tank, sub WAR, if you wanna be a damage dealer, sub SAM.
If I make a DRG, it's gonna be a DRG/SAM because I like to be the guy who does a lot of damage with a big 2h weapon. For my DRK, he's gonna be a DRK/SAM. If I do make a SAM though, I may make him a SAM/DRK just for the extra damage. Most memorable WoW vent convos on Burning Legion:
"Dude...I just wrote a sonnet, about taking a dump." - Kronos (2006)
"Guys, I just set my oven on fire by trying to cook ramen in it, and broke the fire alarm with a frying pan. I think I'm in trouble." - Brawny (2006)
"But Hisdon, why wouldn't you want The Unblockable Shield - wait a minute..." - Sasukekun (2005)

Sam is actually a very good sub, if your dragon still does his Breath attack when you use a WS.Rude, but not wrong. ;x

Red Mage
Admittedly, I still don't know too much about this game, but I'm currently wanting to run my sub as Red Mage. Red Mage has always been one of my favorite classes, and I think (theoretically, that is) that having a little magic flexibility would help a melee class like the Dragoon. What do you all think/know about how that would work out?

What I want to know is would DRG/DRK work? I wish to play as a Mithra, and I don't particularly like playing nice. I have no desire to be a tank or a healer. I know that a DRG/DRK will have horrible def, especially with the Mithra not being horribly tankish. Will I be able to make this work? Should I consider THF as a sub instead? Will the higher evade make a noticable impact on my survivability? Or am I just doomed to be the beserking guy who is always in need of healing? :confused:Yeah, that's what you think! What would you know about @#%&*? I don't take advice from someone who smells as bad as you do! Now either quit stinking the place up, or have a bath in my lye-scrubbing machine! --KB: Nockers

Erm, aren't lances 2-handed weapons? No dual-wielding with 2-handers, so the 2-lance thing dun exactly work.Yeah, that's what you think! What would you know about @#%&*? Sup everyone. I'm thinking a bard would be a good sub class since lookin at all the stat and resist stuff they got...they could be a good sub class for anything: attack, defense, evasion, agility, and more.
(edit)
My bad, forgot that songs suck without and instrument...bummer. Well then either Warrior, thief, or ninja i would think.
