Dragoon Question

does a dragoon have to use a spear/lance or can it use a sword?

Dragoons may use swords but not very good ones. As a dragoon you want to be using a spear. It's his A+ weapon.

Dragoon should always use spears,lances and tridents(all one category). IF the Party wants you to use a 1 hand sword, you should do so if your skilled with it. Dragoons also have lances that are only used by them, with very high attack power.

well I'm going to be a dark knight dragoon so i will use a two handed sword i figure it'll just as much damage plus my dark knight will get jump and summon dragon plus they are both very high in attack so i think it's the only 2 advanced jobs i've seen that work so well together that were both offensive.

Which are you planning to be the subjob? Because you can't use a subjob's 2-hour ability, so that means no dragon if you sub dragoon.

hmmm. bummer that really is kinda lame of square but oh well i planned on dark knight as main job because of the damage but and dragoon because the added damage and stat stuff i would get plus i would have jump , but i will switch them around so i can lvl both to maximum just so if i decide to sub another job i can have both dragoon and dark knight at cap max. you think ppl will be willing to have a dark knight / dragoon in the party ?:sweat: :confused:

dark knight/ warrior is ideal for PT. DRK does alot of dmg, if you can get by its slowness and rapid missing capabilities and bad magic skills. Past LV 30, DRG is alot faster and more accurate while doing more than the dmg a 2 hand sword does. A DRG scythe though is stronger than a DRG's Spear.

yea but don;t you think that with dragoon as a sub job it will give you the added stats you need for strength and accuracy because at a certain lvl dragoons get a strength and accuracy bonus plus it'll be a dark knight and there one of the best with damage plus you get dragoons jump ability's right.

Hey do you mean DRK or DRG because I thought that DRG best weapon is Lance/spear/trident. What other weapons can they use and which of them are good, decent, or bad?

hey robert guy i plan on doing the same thing. Mainly because i think both will be extremely fun. and they compliment eachother in stats. Only downside i can see to it is dark knight as main will still miss quite a bit. But it's still badass which is what's good about it

really the only thing you miss out on when your dragoon is sub is the armor a few weapons and the 2 hour ability but i can live with that because hey after you lvl your main job to the max you can switch them around and lvl dragoon to max win win situation

i would but i have no clue i'm just gonna use a two handed sword and a scythe if there better in strength.

Scythe is stronger but slower.(Best scythes are for DRG only)
Spear/Trident is faster but not as strong.
Lance(same category as spear) is stronger but slower( only used by DRG, like a Scythe for DRG)

What is the best overall weapon?? Trident and Schytes for higher dmg but slower or the speedy javelin
