Question on dragoon quest

I been meaning to do it for a while now. What rank is needed to get into the Chetaeu D' Oragail (forgive me if i spelled it wrong). And do I need high fame or something else like that?

Wrong.

If your going to CO'D, you'll need to be at least rank 3, but that is unless you except the quest, if you do you can enter there at rank 1, but ONLY for the quest. You'll need to be level 30 by the way.

DRG quest is hard so I suggest you get another high level DRG to help you out.

Its not really hard. The worst part is all the running about for it but I liked the story behind it so it was worth it.

You'll need either a party or high level help for the Dragon fight at the end (AFTER YOU'VE HATCHED THE EGG.....I hate when people drag me out for the fight and they're not at that point.) But its not a hard fight, I've never come close to loosing it.

I dont understand, how do you enter if your rank 1?

Explain

If your nationality is San d'Orian, then once you are on the mission that results in Rank 3, you may come and go from the castle as you please. If you hail from another country, then you need Rank 3.

You will need to be level 30 to get the quest regardless of your nation or rank.

There are quests that involve you entering the castle, but as far as I know, you are stalled in completing those quests until you have proper rank to enter. I'm unaware of any quest that gives you access to the castle prematurely.

The DRG quest isn't very difficult. I would consider it more tedious than anything. You talk to people in San d'Oria; you run to the other side of the world; you run back to San d'Oria, then back to the other side of the world. Once completed you return to San d'Oria and head off to Ghelsba Outpost, which is happily nearby, but is also the only difficult part of the quest. Remember, DRG was introduced in the first expansion, so there were many people who were Rank 5 and higher in levels. So I sincerely hope you have an airship pass, or good luck finding Teleports (not common in San d'Oria on my server), and have the help of a nice high level player at the very end. Other than that, you should be enjoying the job shortly. Good luck!

ok right now im on missiong 2-3 in bastok. Currentyl im in sandoria and it wont let me in ><. What quest is it that required u to get in, I want to try it before i leave?

Bastok. . . That's your problem.

I'm Sand d'Orian, so my understanding is a little foggy, but from what I read you may enter the Chateau once you are rank 3, or at least in the middle of 2-3. Quite likely after you speak with your Bastokan consulate you'll be able to enter. If you can't seem to get inside, then finish the mission and accept 3-1 before returning.

Of course, I'd recommend doing missions for their own sake. I just made Rank 5, and from what I understand I've just started getting into the storyline. So far, it's pretty good.

And for more information check ffxi.allakhazam.com . Go to quests by realm on the left-hand column, select San d'Oria, and search for Holy Crest or Dragoon Flag. You should find details on the quest, and a discussion on how other countries complete the quest.

you can be from any nation.....you cant enter the place until you are on mission 2-3 and you have talked to your embasy in North Sandy.
