Skewer >> Howling Fist

It's supposed to chain according to Aden's renkei chart, but couldn't get it to chain. Same with Blade: Jin >> Skewer. Anyone else observe something similar?

Sadly...chaining with Howling Fist and Blade: Jin produces:

Howling Fist -> Skewer = Compression (Dark)
Skewer -> Howling Fist = Transfixion (Light)
Skewer -> Blade:Jin = Detonation (Air)

I get the impression that skewer doesn't have Compression attributes at all.

I don't think it does either.

In an Oztroja keyhunt party, we tried to do a 3-way with DRG, PLD, DRK (both PLD and DRK using Great Sword), by doing Skewer > Power Slash > Crescent/Sickle Moon. Even when we all had damage on-screen and could see that both Skewer and Power Slash hit, we got no transfixion renkei.

I have a feeling Skewer is only Transfixion and Impaction elements, or if it does have Compression it is ONLY to close a renkei and cannot open Transfixion, but this wouldn't explain the non-renkei of Blade:Jin > Skewer.

The only other way i can think would be that it cannot close Gravitation (for whatever random reason), but can still close Compression by leading with Howling Fist or Power Slash, or open Detonation by closing with Blade:Jin, Sidewinder, DE, etc.
