Gae Bolg is horrid for soloing, hehe. You need to be able to keep hate off your Wyvern (I assume when you're soloing you have a /mage sub, or else you're just knocking out TW mobs that you can H2H), which pulls in a significant amount of hate if you keep missing surprisingly.
When I solo, I use my Narval, it gives me Healing Magic Skill +10 (although barely noticable, its nice to have), HP +15, and additional effect water damage to undead (when you are 2 manning Eldieme Necropolis escort for example). The Narval's additional damage is kind of cool really. In my experiences, the damage on bones and any form of undead really (hounds and the like), is up in the +40 -> +50 additional water damage, hehe. Staff on the bones, Narval on the hounds, ghosts, and Kas, and you can't really go wrong.
WS wise... well, to be honest, you'll be throwing out Wheeling Thrust more often than anything else you have. Unless of course you are in lower level situations (escort, farming, etc). That being said, Wheeling Thrust's damage is fairly consistant in the 150-250 range, regardless of what weapon you use.
The above post pretty much sums it up as well, somewhat. The game's battle system (from HNM hunting to normal exping) is quite a drastic change.
To be honest, I haven't had the chance to play around with a Dreizack. However, statistically it is nice weapon to have, the weakens attacks effect will do next to nothing on most high level mobs, if not all.
If we're talking about Firesday, don't forget that the Mighty Lance has 99 dmg.
