Must say im dissapointed at the HP regen for wyvern, it isnt that helpful to get 1% hp every minute or so. ><
Im glad they added Spirit Link, it has been a big help for me.

i'm 60 right now. once i hit 61, i cant really see myself wearing it again because of spirit link. i'll probably stick to carapace till tiger at that point. then hope to god i can get the ose drop. i'm sure there was a time before spirit link where people over 60 would wear it to regen in between battles. now its kinda worthless :/

It's only 1% every minute? It keeps my wyvern alive most of the time, unless I get an unlucky string of AE's tossed my way. I found that the carapace breastplate was a bit useless for me anyway. It does nothing in a pt situation, and farming it doesn't kick in till red HP. At least as I recall. Could be wrong, but I sold it after wearing it a few times. I switched it in and out during battles when I'd have to provoke so THF could fuidama onto tank. Honestly couldn't notice any difference in the damage I was taking.

I agree it's not that great though. I miss the evasion on my RK aketon when I farm tigers. maybe I should pick one up again.

it's been a while since i had the carapace set.. but from what i recall.. 1 of the pieces (the one that gives the least stats) kicks in when you're yellow... then the next best kicks in at orange.. and finally the best one at red.. (did a test with them)

I've tried it in a pt situation and it's hard to keep reminding the mage to not heal you while you're sitting around with less than 25% hp.. Also i accidentally aggro'ed undead which lead to many deahts -_-;;

However, there is a significant difference in attack and defence and it has saved me in many situations.. it's possible to have it in yoru inventory and popping it on in emergencey situations (saved me many times as well)

Get the ose tunic, I lost them all to RDM and rather annoyed at that now. ; ;

The regen is definately more than 1% per minute, just depending what you fight it may or may not be good enough. Versus crabs its fine, vs flies, even Spirit Link can have a hard time keeping up.
