  • My 2 Cents for improvements.

    Maybe I'm just insane, but I've been thinking about this, and I think it might just work. So flame or no flame, here goes.

    First off, I'm sorry Rangers but you should lose your Accuracy Ups for Ranged Accuracy Ups. I mean, all your melee attacks up seems a bit far fetched for someone who's technically supposed to focus entirely in ranged attacks. Maybe I missed something, but like I said, that's how I see it.

    Next, Dragoons should lose that attack up bonus. In all honesty, the spot can be used in a better way. Now, the dragoons should be the ones to get the melee accuracy up, since we don't get ranged attacks anyway. You don't have to make our weapon skills more powerful, or over power us, or anything. Just make us more accurate. Our weapons, although somewhat lacking, isn't that much of an issue.

    Considering the whole power and mobility thing. The lances are pretty powerful by themselves, so we should be able to hit. If a dark knight can hit for twice as much as us, we should at least be able to hit twice as often.

    And for the love of, why oh why do we wear doublets? I don't want plate armor, but at a chain piece or two? I realize I'm not as high as some other people, but I know how much a Berserk + Mithkabob + Double Thrust can pull hate. I've pulled it away from paladins on more than one occassion, so being able to take a hit or two would be nice.

    You reading this Square Enix? It's not an over powered plan of godly-ness. Just an accuracy bonus every ten or fifteen levels. Please consider.

      DRG gets accuracy bonus trait at 30. Login sometime and check job traits.

      I'm impressed by your solutions that will fix DRG. Wait, no I'm not.

        Either you started the SC too soon or the PLD sucked. I've done WSs and provoked and wasn't able to pull it off the PLD (with my WAR, but that doesn't matter).

          The vision and hand-eye coodination to hit a monster from miles away but they can't hit it from close up? That doesn't make much sense.

          We have scale armour but chain and plate would be nice, I don't care about the defence but most of our armour looks crap.

              Lets see now, THfs have Sneak Attack and Trick Attack, Monks have boost... Why cant DRGs have Haste?

                  Monks get haste. Not as a job trait, but from their available equipment.

                    Personally, I like scale alot more than the chain (exept for the plate-and-chain stuff Sandorian Knights wear)

                    on Ranger accuracy...
                    yeah, they get a boost to land a knife blow with the worst strength in the game, hurrah...

                      DRG is definatly missing something... i like the job, having a lance as a weapon is kool and the wyverm is nice but drg is missing something -_-;

                        Would be kinda neat to have Jump as the DRG's ranged attack. But that would make it too similar to RNG. If you look at dragoons from other FF games, they pretty much just used jump. They're regular attack sucked, but when using jump is where they dished out the damage. But S-E wants DRG in FFXI to rely on the wyvern. This last patch helped that, but it still needs more. More damage at higher levels maybe. As a crazy idea, it would be neat if our DRG could wear different equipment. That would be soo cool, IMO.

                          most of the DRGs that i party with miss their jumps alot of the tiem and even if they do hit they hit for much jump doesnt seem like anything special
