which town?

Hello i'm going to start playing ffxi and i've read pretty much all the threads here but I have one question.

putting aside the race i'm going to be and putting aside the benefit of obtaining a good starting free Ring.

Which do you think its the best town to start in . I see there is is conquest armor/weapons you can obtain , which town would benefit a dragoon the most?

would you change towns if you had to restart as level 1 again?

Jueno is the best town but you must wait 1 RL hour at the country selection screen before its option loads and you can choose any class from the mog house in jueno at the begining

I'd would say Windurst for the Rank 3 Mercenary Cpt. Gear, but I haven't looked at anything higher.

Going San D'oria would save you money on a Grand Knight's Lance by 60 (which was 250k when I bought it). Also has a decent CP sword I'd like to get for skill ups. Overall the armor sells better too at higher levels than other nations in my experience. Bastok is the worst for CP items besides being able to get Centurion's and IM armor, nothing good to buy with CP. Rank 9 and there is really nothing I could buy that sells well as a Bastokan.

Yea San D'Oria has a lot of armor/lances and the likes for DRG.
