Looking for a friend/mentor

I am going to be one of the many ps2 newbies and I was just wondering if anyone would be willing to get a wp and take me under their wing? You know... show me the ropes and what not.

I read take under their wing as "give me gils and power level me", but here are some tips :

1) Read the instruction manual. Has a few basic macros that are handy in there, some general info.

2) Just play the game. Everything is easy to learn just by experiencing it.

3) If you have a question you cannot figure out the answer to, or don't know someone to specifically answer it, hit the search button on these forums. Likely your question has been answered ad nauseum over and over again.
