I plan on subbing RDM as well for solo.

Admittedly, I haven't tried the /mage soloing for exp combo yet, but the fact that I won't have any Cure spells as a BLM other than Drain seems.....scary.

I plan on bringing tons of juice ingredients, so MP regen shouldn't be a huge problem.

whm:
- larger mp pool then rdm
- protect spells
- earlier access to stoneskin and blink
- sneak invisible

blm:
- larger mp pool then rdm and whm
- poison (5mp cost vs 7mp cost of dia)
- aspir (important if you want to keep your xp chain alive)!!!!

rdm:
- lowest mp pool of the 3 mage subs
- access to phalanx and dispel
- poison (5mp vost vs 7mp cost of dia)
- protect spells
- stoneskin and blink (although later lvl then whm)
- sneak & invisble

You'll have fairly crappy mp to begin with. Casting Protect II on yourself is the equivalent of equipping 2 phalanx rings, giving you the opportunity to equip 2 astral rings instead. Once you use the 50 mp boost from the astrals, feel free to equip your alternate rings.

Casting stoneskin and blink and phalanx before starting a chain will increase your chances of getting to chain #4 #5 etc.

Brd sub sounds the most interesting. You can technically fight forever and have the added benefit of madrigal and minuet.

you cannot have madrigal and minute and uc annot fight nonstop. subed bard gives you one song, at 1/2 skill w/o and intrument bonus, , so u'd have now ay to heal that hps your taking unless u keep burning about 10 sec every min, min 30 ish to recast your gimped paeon

Bamce, have you even tried subbing brd? Where are you getting your info?

#1. You should get all songs a lvl 30 brd would have.

#2. You will also have the skill equivalent of a lvl 30 brd.

#3. You can always cycle through your threnodies to get heals when you are @40%

#4. And yes you are correct, you can only choose one buff song.
