Weapon at start

Well i was planning on starting as a warrior, so should i use a sword and shield? and worry about leveling up the spear abilities later or, start with a spear now to get ready for when i am able to recieve the dragoon class.

I personally would use a Sword and shield or Axe. I like leveling a jobs "main" weapon with it, because then you gain the weapons skills that you have never used before...just something I like about it.

Either sword or axe are good, sword will mix easyer in Renkei. Axe and Great Axe (2 hands slashing) are the best weapon of warrior (A and A+). Skill don't take that long to get up, if you are in group. So i would go with the weapon of the class axe and sword so you add to your abilitie to blend with almost any renkei.

Talis, yeah. Keep sword/axe + shield as your main, and if you're soloing use the polearm. You can use the polearm in a pt, but make sure you tell them you are doing so.

You could atleast level your polearm abilities up a bit for your drg when you switch over. :spin:

Use spear until you cap it for your level.

Then bring out great axe or axe + shield.

So really, what is the point of capping polearm when leveling warrior? You cap it within like first 1000 exp worth of fights when you go level DRG.

Axe or Great Axe. It just makes leveling a warrior easier.
