    Hey, i just want to start a little forum cuz it has been on my mind for a little while. first a question..........

    I hear that the color, and breath attacks of your dragon depends on your subjob, if so what colors do which subjobs give?


    And i was thinking who wants a baby dragon onythere whole dragoon time? wouldnt it be cool if like you would have to pay some gil to make your dragon mature and learn different ws's and crap... maybe this would make dragoosn to powerful tho? any ideas you guys could post would be cool

    The colour of your dragon doesn't change but you can change its breath attacks. Mage jobs give it healing breath when you cast a spell. Fighter jobs give it a random elemental attack when you use a WS. PLD and DRK give it both.

      While its a nice idea for the wyvern to get massive and be standard dragon size, its annoying a lot of times as it is to target around. Here is an idea : make the thing untargetable. The fact it shows up when you hit F8 is pretty damn irritating, its not like targetting it results in anything useful you can do like heal or buff it.

      The breath selection depending on sub job I think is pretty nice as it is, and doesn't really need a change. However wyverns need to not be a 2 hour ability. Many times its simply a waste of have the wyvern out, and even when you have the AF bp, how useful is regen when every fight monsters AE enough to take it down 75%? Not very. Unfortunately the usefulness of the wyvern only decreases in parties as you level - conveniently the Dragoon gets more powerful so it isn't as much of a crutch. Wyvern should be like 30 min reuse ability, and give Dragoon a useful 2h ability - hell you can make it something like SMN Astral Flow for wyverns to make it bust out great damage for 30 seconds or something.

      I rarely use it in parties because almost everything does an AE which takes away tp to heal up and makes exping a lot more inefficient. Maybe if the wyvern had similar resists to the Dragoons it wouldn't be so bad, but honestly there are too many penalties to having a wyvern and fairly negligable benefits.

        I'd be happy with my Wyvern's HP showing up for others in the party to see and mages to be able to heal her.

        Or maybe we should have a 2 hour ability to use if we already have our Wyvern out. If you look after your Wyvern you can keep it alive for days, all that time we have to do without a 2 hour special ability.

          I am happy with the wyvern as is. Any improvements and we will prob be looking at an exp penalty, no thanks.
