DRG subjob dillema

i have no idea what subjob to use for my future dragoon, i am a lvl 16 Black mage right now, and i dont get to spend tons of time playing all the time, so i dont get levels every night. My dillema is what job to pick when i get my subjob. I will use this job to go to 30 and get Dragoon. these are my choices that are making me ponder...

-At lvl 18, change to redmage/blackmage and become DRG/RDM at lvl 30(i have heard that redmage works well under Dragoon)

-At lvl 18 change to WHM/BLM and become DRG/WHM at lvl 30(i have heard WHM works too, but mainly for soloing.)

-At lvl 18 change to WAR/blackmage(pretty much pointless subjob) and take WAR to 30.( i know WAR is prob the most dependable subjob but i dont want to have wasted the months i have spent leveling my blackmage, also i feel like it could take forever to get to lvl 30 as a taru WAR.



I know neither of those subjobs are as good as WAR, but my problem is, they seem alot more exciting, and have alot more variety than the WAR subjob. is this true? or not. I just dont want to spend the nex 4 months leveling a taru WAR/BLM to level 30. because i know how hard that would be. Is doing WAR to 30 worth it? somebody please help me id greatly appreciate it. also, i just dont want my lvl 16 black mage to go to waste, and im not changing my class from taru becuase they are my favorite race.

honestly a taura war is decent enough, he only problem they realy have is with monsters that have burst dmg Goblins with bomb atk and what not. If you want to have Warrior as a subjob
Take the time to lvl monk or thief up to 10 or so and then warrior to 30
and get DRG. also you can look at thief as a good sub to DRG.
as a Galka DRG with war sub i tanked up till around 35 or so.
I wore Bastok CQ lvl 30 armor and was not bad at all.
so I can't imagine not being able to provoke and have berserk.
but take the time and build the Char the way you want.
It seems you don't power game so build the char the way you want and enjoy the way there.

I agree, the warrior of thief is the ultimate sub.

oh alright thank you very much, so i should either be a warrior or a theif? i think ill go with the theif sub, that sounds really good especially for a tarutaru, thank you very much guys i appreciate it

one problemo, which job would be the easiest for me to level to 30 as a Taru, a WAR or a THF? neither of them seem ideal for Taru so i dont know which one would be a better choice for dragoon

i know that theif and war are good from what i hve read. but a friend told me that a dragoon sub samarai is really strong should i do that?? or just stay with WAR??

Drg/Sam is indeed very strong. However you will not see this strength until your dragoon is lvl 60 and the sam sub is 30.

Before 60 it is a tossup between thief or war. Good perks on both sides.

I think theif would probably be easier for taru to lvl up. Because the main problem usualy with taru melees are they cant tank good cause of low hp, and since warriors usualy end up tanking theif might be easier. Although I have only played as elvaan, Im only talking from when Ive grouped with taru melees.
