Dragoon questions

well i've decided i want to go dragoon as my high clas job. I'll proably start out as a warrior. My question is which would be better for a warrior/dragoon eelvaan or hume?

Also are dragoons in a good demand for partys and such?

Personally i like Elvaan Dragoon becuase Dragoon is a damage dealing class. STR and DEX are the top 2 stats you need for Dragoon (for accuracy(dex) and Attack (str)). Since the dex starts the same for both races and Elvaan starts with 1 better STR (these add up over time, i think they both have the same dex in the end though). Elvaan seems like a better choice.

Also this is the way im going, its long but i hear its WORTH IT!!.

Warrior till sub (level 18)
Theif/Warrior from theif 1 till 30 (as an elvaan theif you will suck but oh well ;P)
the it gets tricky...
Dragoon/ warrior till Dragoon is 20: provoke more useful then the abilities the other sub provide. dont try to tank or get in the voke order, be a last resort. (dragoon defense is the 2nd worse oout of all melee classes)
Dragoon/Theif till 60 : Evasion bonus is nice, treasure hunter is good for money, sneak and trick attack own with jump, flee is useful in a tight spot same with Resist Gravity. Why not Warrior? Beserker is useful, but defender is useless, same with resist virus, Double attack would be nice but sneak and trick make up for it.

now is there it gets long...
Dragoon/Samurai from 60 up: store tp traits + meditate + pentra thrust = HUGE damage. and you want to be a damage dealer.

at level 60+ as a Dragoon/theif: you would only benifit from mug (luaghs) and evasion bonuses. Why need evasion when you can super jump hate away???

At level 60+ as a Dragoon/warrior: War Cry and an attack bonus.... thats it.... enough said....

to level Samurai i would just stick with Warrior sub. keeps things easy.

Note: like in all mmorpg's the equipment makes the player. I would get equipment that adds stats in this order. This item is more important > than this item.

Accuracy>Dexerity>Attack>Strength
you will have plenty of strength, so workin on your hit rate is key. 1 ACCURACY EQUALS 2 DEXERITY!!! same goes with attack and strength. (if im not misstaken). your weapon also adds attack.

Well that is my 4 cents (to long to be 2 cents) on the Dragoon Class. In short i Prefer Elvaan>Mithra>Hume>Galka. This is just my opinion you dont have to listen if you dont want to. Also dont go with Elvaan cuase i said i liked it. Go with the race you like and the Job combo you like. Mine is very cookie Cutter of what alota people are doing. Breaking the mold can be fun. Just not fun for me ^.^

I'd rather have 2 accuracy than 4 attack... you end up missing a lot as you get higher levels.

IMO its easier to makeing up for 2 accuracy then making up 4 Attack. Also i like the Elvaan Character model better ^.^

ok Roug, once again you guys underestimate /WAR...

You are honestly mistaken if you think that sneak attack can make up for the lose of Berserk. Sneak Attack is extremely weakened when subbed, makin a normal, critical hit. Berserk will raise your attack from 20-40 points for 3 minutes.

Only Dual Swing? ONLY? Are you nuts!? Dual Swing is a sick ability for melee damage dealers, DO NOT underestimate this! Apparently you are unaware that this ability can trigger on weapon skills with multiple hits, meaning Penta Thrust has a possiblity to hit 10 times (though this chance is low, it can happen) thanks to Dual Swing!

you seem to not know what the hell you are talkin about, it only affects the first hit. You could hit the first one and miss all the other 4 still. Oh, wow, you did a critical hit. Good for you.

i know Double attack is TIGHT and can be useful. But IMO Defender is useless as a dragoon. Im looking at which one gives the most ability/traits that are useful. IMO Theif is better from 20 to 60 than Warrior. If you want you can push Theif back to 30 to 60.

Double attack - on here but comes to late IMO level 50 Dragoon to get it

Maybe i see your point about warrior lol. Ill try both through my levels. One reason i think ill go mostly theif though is becuase alota people want to put yuo in the Voke order as a Dragoon with Provoke. Like i said this is suicide. I had a friend get kicked out of a group cuase he didnt voke. Note he told them before they went out it was suicide and that he wouldnt join in the vokeing.

Hounestly do as you feel. I just gave you my view and i doubt im experienced enough in Dragoon to make a useful choice.
