I was wondering, how easy is it to get all 5 penta thrust hits. I know with double thrust or Tachi: Enpi I hit mostly 1 time. Also, what is a good site to find out what level job classes learn spear weaponskills? Thanks...

Has the same accuracy as your normal hits. So if your normal hit rate is like 1/5, then you're going to get 1/5 penta hits (on average)
Which is why people prefer to do VTs instead of ITs at higher levels and chain them for higher exp. Because it's much much easier to hit those VTs :DBST 75 (Active) | BRD 75 (Active)

By the time you get to level to get pentathrust, you should have a good collection of + DEX and + accuracy items. Life belt is commonly sold and worth picking up. Elvaan isn't so bad with good equipment, I think that 30 accuracy bonus trait is a huge benefit. Just before then they are rediculously blind ;p

before level 30 Elvaans are scared of blood as Dragoon's, so they close their eyes when they attack ;P3 Star General of the GHLA

I'm an Elvaan Dragoon, and our accuracy isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. From my experience, our Elvaan penalty to Dex is most evident when fighting IT+++ (Upwards of 3 levels plus). Typically speaking, when you get Penta, you might be PT'ing in Crawler's on Helm Beatles. These things embarass your pride as a Drg. You'll be doing Pentas for 7-50 dmg heh.
I sit at +14 Dex, +10 Acc. and I typically get 4/5, 5/5 hits from Penta. When I fight IT+++'s, I get 24-36% TP, so roughly 2-3 hits. Sanguine is right when he said PT's choose to chain VT's instead at higher levels. The very odd times I'll get 72% (double attack kicking in)
