I plan on being a Dragoon Taru Taru, with thief or SAM as subs at one point... I'd hate to completely ignore the race's magic abilities by using only non-magic classes. I'm still learning how subs work and all the rules, so I think I'm 'allowed' to have this as a sub. I have a few questions about the combo, if it is possible.

Can you have a pet in addition to your wyvern?

What kind of leveling order should I follow? Thief to 30 then Dragoon quest and Summoner quest, and then level up them both?

One last, somewhat unrelated question.. I've read a little about 3 separate nations, will me being a TaruTaru prevent me and a friend playing if he wants to be a Hume? Or something like that.

Does having Dragoon as a primary mean you'll have zero mp? Even with Summoner as a secondary.. I assume you need MP to summon, correct? Meaning that it's not a possible combo I guess. Can anyone shed some light for me please?

Yes, you can have a pet in addition to your wyvern, but sub /SAM is generally not a good idea. Your summons are limited to your summon level, and since your /sum level will be a max of half your main level, that means your summons will be very very low level compared to the mobs you're going to be fighting. The only real reason to sub /sam is for the MP bonus - which, as a drg, you will not need.

As for nations, you can choose to join any nation regardless of your race. However, joining a nation that does not correspond to your race means a loss of the racial ring, and also means that conquest point items may tend not to be geared towards your class choice.

From what I have read you are only allowed to have one pet at a time. Your wyvern is a pet therefore you cannot have any other pet at that time. Summons are also pets so you can only have either your wyvern or a summon out at a time. Hope that made sense
