can an adv. class be your main class?

just curious, is it possible to make an adv class your main and not your sub. like if you wanted to be a samurai/warior, but want to have your samurai skill higher then your warrior, so warrior would have to be a sub......

and if you can have an adv class as your main, how exactly is it done.

u do it the same way as u would put a normal job as ur main..go into ur mog and click main and switch it to an advanced job..then switch ur subjob to whatever u want...hope i helped u

Nah... your not a newbie. Took me a while to figure out you could make a Advance your main job. It kinda makes sense after you think about it because you cant use the weapon of your sub job. EXAMPLE: Black Mage/ Warrior cant use swords. But they have bows in the game. So.... you would HAVE to have the capability to make Ranger your main.

Just some advice:

If you plan on using an advanced job, don't use it as your sub. Advance jobs aren't meant to be treated at half the level of your main job -- they are just not effective that way. There are a few cases when it works (ex: whm/smn). Well, that's my two cents

Well not totally true. SMN NIN and SAM are all good subs. But some are just STUPID i.e. BST BRD. It all depends how you use it.

You said ADV jobs arent good as subs, except SMN, well i showed 2 other classes that are perfect so what you said isnt true, you can make almost any ADV job work as a sub cept mainly BST and BRD.
