I want to tame a pet, let the pet attack the target while the wyvern and I watch. After the pet dies, I finish the target off with wyvern and spear. Here is my question, is there a way to tell your wyvern not to attack while my pet is attacking the target?

Unfortunately you can only have one pet either way.
If you drg/bst you will not get the wyvern.
If you go bst/ drg you will get the bst pets. Squae was smart to make the wyvern two hour ability. You can use drg passive skills but not the 2 hr active.
