  • jump--high jump--super jump

question.. if you have all the jumps ability.. can you use three in a row?

or is it simply 1 skill that "evolves"

ie: when you're high enough to have super jump.. in your ability list, will it list
    Jump
    HighJump
    SuperJump

    or just
    SuperJump?

basically this is inr egards to superjump info.. from what i hear it merely erases all hate you have and gives you some invulnerability for a bit while in flight.. it doesn't actually do any damage

so now, my question becomes clearer, i hope.. i'm thinking if it's possible to say jump, then use high jump (to dmg the foe) then lastly use superjump to erase the hate..

does anyone know how the jump/high jump --> super jump work?

    Cobbi? :spin:

I know they are each individual skills, but I never heard that about Super Jump.

it's in the thread below this one

see i'm going to become a DRG/THF, since the attack-jumps are combineable with sneka.. it should do mondo dmg and get me a lot of hate  so i figure superjump should take care of that..

but im not too sure if the jumps are doable in a row..

jump then high jump right after then super jump to get rid of hate

Cobbi!!! where are you? is that taru locked inside a treasure chest somewhere? :spin:

Jump, High Jump and Super Jump are separate skills thus they can be used one after another.

*pops out of a treasure chest near Broot*

          How'd you guess!?

          Anyways

Yeah, as Ailis and others said they're all seperate abilities. But you probably won't be able to use them one after another all the time.

          Jump - 1.5 minute cooldown

High Jump - 3 minute cooldown

Super Jump - 5 minute cooldown

And then take into account that Super Jump doesn't do damage, only drop hate, and you'll probably be using Jump and High at the same time, then Jump by itself, and then Jump and High at the same time. And when an enemy's about to do somthing nasty, like a Goblin Bomb, or the tank can't get the hate off you, THEN it's time for some Super Jump action.

Hope this satisfied your Cobbi answer :3

Hate is basically what it sounds like. Hate is what people in this game call the factor that determines which person an enemy is going to attack. The more hate you have the more a monster will attack you over someone else.

You build up hate by attacking an enemy, casting spells that do damage or heal (and maybe enhacing as well...?), and provoke. Those are the main ways, but there might be others. The more of any of these you do (IE more damage = more hate) the more a monster wants to attack you.

Hate or aggro or whatever people call it is the amount of aggression a monster has towards you. A monster will attack the person with who it 'hates' the most so tanks would want to keep their hate up and mages and other non-tanks who can't take hits well would want to keep their hate low. Hate is accumulated by dealing physical damage, taunting (warrior ability) and most of all by using magic which is why the tanks have to be careful not to let the mages get attacked by keeping their own hate up.

                Hope that answers your question.

i assume any weapon will work with the jumps, just not a polearm? i mean of course the bows, intruments, and throwables wont work...

Hehe I switched to Samurai and subbed dragoon. The result was satisfying.

For some odd reason I am reminded profoundly and indelibly of Psycho Cyan from FF6. Sure he didn't jump, but the idea is there, no? Seriously, though, it's good that they animate each weapon's landing motion. No more stupid FF4/5/T graphical style Mario jumps. I wonder what barehanded jump looks like in FFXI? Or with a dagger or claws ... it must look awesome with a hammer though.
