Simple Wyvern Questions

Ok I have just a few questions about your Wyvern.

1) Appearance: Do the Wyvern of all dragons appear the same?

2) Becoming more powerful: I know your Wyvern can grow in power, but how does this happen. Is it by your leveling or you using the Wyvern more?

3) life: I know the recharge time on your Wyvern is 2 hours. How likely is it that your Wyvern will stay alive for that long. Also do you lose your Wyvern when you zone?

4)Abilities: I know the Wyvern takes on the abilities of your subclass. It being a caster if your subclass is a mage and breath is melee. My question is the breath/normal attack of the Wyvern different from melee class to melee class?

1) Yes
2) Leveling
3) Likely if the enemy only attacks you. Unlikely if it uses are attacks or magic. And no, it doesn't go away when you zone.
4) Just healing breath for mages and elemental breath for melee. That's all.

Does the Wyvern have to stay in one spot for 2 hours, or can you move around? I thought it was like a summon, but you could only use it once every 2 hours.

Oh is the wyvern your two 2 hr ability? I am unfamiliar with DRG's sorry! But the wyvern does look cool. WIsh you could be one in Beta.......
How cool are the jumps?

The wyvern follows you around and attacks whatever you attack.

It is a 2hr ability.

Jumps are extremely cool. I like TP.

The only way you can lose your wyvern is if you ride a chocobo, change your main job or sub job, manually tell it to go away, or it gets killed.

thought the beta included the expansion? if it does, then you can be a dragoon, if it doesn't then sucks for you that i will be able to get it at the same time, and im not in beta.

Beta does not include expansion as of now. The US release on the other hand will include the expansion free of charge if I am not mistaken.

Misnomer.

the beta DOES include the expansion disk (hence there being a POL install disk and FOUR OTHERS) They just have not made the EXPANSION stuff active yet. Figure the EXP stuff to go active about a month or two before release...

Japanese all-in-one package (FFXI + expansion) has 6 CDs (4 + 2).
