Dragoon subbing Thief

it might work, mainly because subbing thief will incease AGI and DEX. that is great if you want to hit accurately and have a chance of avoiding an attack. most DRG will sub WAR though, due to the incredible power and the taunt. that will keep a monster from killing your 2h summon. i don't know if thief has good skills for a DRG though.

Well (sup tirg lol) they always say pay most attention to the skills not the minor stat boosts. I hear that subbing thf sucks now cuz they nerfed the dmg of abilities when subbed

Hey, Trig, you've been set on DRG/THF for the longest time, and NOW you're beginning to doubt it?

It might be ok, /THF might get nerfed even worse between then and now, whatever. If you're really unsure, do what I'll do - I'm gonna level DRG, PLD, and WAR, and use DRG/WAR or PLD/WAR in serious leveling PTs, and DRG/PLD when people aren't being so picky about really good job combos. In your case, just use THF instead of PLD and you're set.

I can certainly say that past 30, Drg/Thf will work. Before that, it's useless due to a lack of Backstab.

Truthfully, after level 30 or so dragoons should just not tank anymore, as they become like Drks and can't take hits too well. Plds, Wars and Sams will be doing the majority of tanking, and because I'm a taru I don't take hits well regardless so I choose to not sub warrior due to this.

I think that after level 30 since you wont be tanking TOO much you might as go with whatever YOU want.... i for instance was ALWAYS partial to thief and monk.. im pretty sure im going to go with thief because if i am ever in a jam and a bunch of monster have gone aggro i can just flee from them (you get to run really fast) i think that would be useful.... i dunno thats just my 2 cents

You learn taunt at level 5 as a warrior right? Are there other stronger/better taunts

Ok my plan. Be a theif untill like level 30 and learn taunt as a warrior until then. Then be dragoon and use that with /warrior to taunt and level dragoon. Thief/Dragoon or switch would be cool

I'm set on Drg/Mnk, I've been lvling my monk, and I don't feel like switching now.. Lvling takes too f*cking long:p and money isn't as much as an issue with this combo.
