macros problems ;;

hi everyone

i used my sata macros+ws from lv 33 thf till lv 45
and drk from 60 to 64
and i have never missed my sata+ws
maybe only 2 times missed and cuz of lag

anyway but lately i missed almost all my sata+ws macros
anyone have this problem or its only me? i have no idea why i missed my sata+ws macros almost everytime i miss it

any new macros you recommand guys?

/wait 1
/ja "trick attack" <me>
/wait
/ws "sickle moon" <t>

it was very good macro for me i used it almost for 3 months and missed only 2 time but now it dont work anymore :dead:

please help me i just hate it when the pld told me STOP MISSING YOUR SATA :sweat:

i want macros that i can trust 100% cuz the old macro i cant trust it anymore

increase /wait to 2 seconds or make 2 separate macros for it.

I had to make separate macros for everything. I hit each macro twice really fast to make sure they all go through. If you put everything in the same macro, every so often it will fuck up due to lag and the /wait will go in before everything else. Very rarely though when it's really really laggy I will hit my macros twice and it still won't register... very annoying

I've been having the same problem lately. While I never combined my SaTa macro with my WS macro, I did have Sa and Ta in the same macro with a /wait 1 between them. But lately, SOOO many times the Sa will activate but not the TA and then Spinning Slash comes and the mob is ALL mine since it was a SA by itself . Lately I've just split it up into seperate macros and while it took a bit to get used to, it's much more dependable.

I use:

/ja "Sneak Attack" <me>
/wait 1
/ja "Trick Attack" <me>

and then use a seperate macro for my weaponskills. Sometimes if I'm madly trying to get in position and push the macro while I'm running, Trick Attack doesn't go off. My advice is to just stay still.

yeah same problem with me ... I missed about 40% of my sata ws using that macro (got laughed out by my sam/thf friend who is extremely good with sata ws) first I thought I was losing my thief skills after not playing the job for sometime but then again I suspect SE stuffed up the macros it now often executes only halfway.

Seperate them into three macros 1 for ws 1 for ta and 1 for sa. Press sa macro while its still in sneak attack animation press ta macro then while its still in trick attack animation press ws macro.

is the macro I always used and usually it would be activated from a standstill position. While it always worked great, the last week or two there is some sort of lag where Sneak Attack will activate slightly late and in doing so will coverup the /wait command which in turn makes Trick Attack fail to activate. It always worked perfectly, but nowadays fails about 1/3 of the time which is why I now use three seperate macros for the SaTa WS sequence.

Nothing like pulling huge hate after a missfired SaTA Spinning Slash only to have your smartass static teammates say, "uh ya, you gotta use Trick Attack too smart one " as I'm running for cover behind the pld.

Same here, I thought it was just me! I had to change them to /wait 2's. So far that's worked for me.

ok i dunno what happend to my old macros it didnt work anymore but i use new macro now and it didnt fail 1 time in my last exp pt lasted 3 hour

thats the best macro you can ever do i think if your sata failed you can just use your sata macro again and you will not fail

the /wait2 dont give you a chance to fix your sata if its fail so i recommand to use /wait1

I use one macro for SATA:

/ja "Sneak Attack" <me>
/wait 1
/ja "Trick Attack" <me>

As the animation for the Sneak Attack appears, I do the following:

1. CTRL + W: Brings up Weaponskills
2. Highlight the WS you want (if you open up the menu prior to fighting, and highlight the skill, the cursor will stay on that skill the next time you open up CTRL + W)
3. As Trick Attack animation appears, quickly tap Enter key twice to execute the WS.

This has never failed me. I used to have problems with the delays in my macro between SATA and the WS. This method is very easy and has worked for me every time.

I also found using trick attack first in the macro is somewhat better. In case the second part of the macro (sneak) doesn't fire, at least you still got the trick off.

I use to have it all in one macro as some of posters above and had it blow up on me every so often. Changed it to this and haven't messed up since. See sneak attack go off then hit 2nd macro, works like a charm - plus I use SA alone a lot, so this saves me from taking up a macro slot otherwise.
