hmmmm...... wish making pt's where easy for me when im playing my sam..... jp just out right refuse me.... NA give me the run around........ but as a pld, i ask, they accept..... /sigh........ but for drk.... yah your best solution will probably be make the pt, join a ppt, or farm your butt off til you get an invite..... oh yah... best setup sc with dark isnt yukikaze... its tachi: enpi @ 60 unless they want to do guilo.... which ends up being tachi: koki....... tachi: enpi > crescent moon for distortion..... pretty good damage there with ice/water mb... then again if they're scythe and don't mind doing dark harvest, shadow of death, or spinning scythe, then you can use tachi: yukikaze.... but most darks i pt with only wanna do guillotine....... :confused: :confused:

Most DRK's want to use Guillotine because they've spent the first 60 lvls of their life with really crappy Weapon Skills and they want to start having fun. To hell with chain 5. :p

Why use one of those weapon skills that we've had to deal with sucking forever? You don't have to do Ice/Water to get good damage. The most damage I have seen a burst do came from a Fragmentation skillchain. If I had a choice, (which I usually don't, can't really decline invites unless the party sucks horrible, and sometimes the other members will want a SAM) I would choose not to party with a SAM until 71ish, when they get Tachi: Kasha.

I can sit down LFG, do a /sea all 64-66 invite, and see some other melees. I usually do /seas fairly often, to see if I can make a party. What I've noticed, even if I'm the only DRK/DRG/SAM/MNK/etc LFG, I will not get an invite. A RNG will pop up, disappear. Ofcourse WHM/RDM/BRD/BLM are never seeking for very long, but they're not melees, that's another post. Now, I know parties have been going in and out, since I do /sea of the areas I would like to XP in, and the number of parties increases and decreases.

Then, amazingly, I see WHM/BLM/BRD/PLD/RNG lfg. *gasp* Nice! I quickly send tells to all of them. PLD and RNG say yes, the BLM asks if I have a RDM/BRD, I say yes, the BRD sends a tell saying he doesn't want to party right now, so I ask why he has his flag up. He said incase I want to party. WHM never responds, so I assume AFK. I send tells to all the others, saying sorry, nevermind.

Othertimes, people will say they want to party, you get to the XP spot, they say they need to leave. JPs, unless I know them, seem to like {English} {No thanks.} No matter how I /tell them. It gets bothersome, trying to make parties when people are just uncooperative.

So, now to try your methods? I can get on at 8am eastern, put my flag and comment up, and go play Madden/watch TV/etc. I have actually left the game on until 8am the next morning, no invites.

And you said people have done it and are doing it? All of my DRK friends, higher levels, won't sit lfg for more than 2, 3 hours. Most of them have started leveling mage jobs (RDM/BLM/WHM/BRD, ofcourse). Simply because, a BRD will always get invites, and any RDM 30+ will get invites.

What bothers me most though...people who spend no time LFG, then they complain to me that they were LFG for 4 hours, or they try to tell me what to do. Since they do it, and it works. They get an invite before they get to their farming spot, its amazing!

I've found that adding a face to the end of your sentence when asking jp players to join can help... like (^_^)... i dont know if it makes you seem like a friendly person or what...

that and having at least one friend you can pt with on a regular basis, kind of like a half-assed static pt. for me, i pt with a certain PLD friend each time, which takes care of the "no tank.... {disband} situation.

just little things like that can help >=)

40-65 I got by making my own parties and grouping with the same people over and over. Sometimes i would invite them, sometimes they would invite me.

Now ive found that the 36000 xp tnl is a bit tiring, and i am really sick of being lfg, or taking the effort to make my own parties. So my solution was to join a static of cool people to just sort of slowly make our way to 75. After i catch up to the PLD i will never have to lfg again or worry about getting a crappy party of obnoxious people.

guillotine > sidewinder is the best thing going 60-65. I also like howling fist > sickle moon. Tachi:Enpi > Sicklemoon is also ok. If you party with THF 60-65 you will end up subbing WAR and doing vorpal scythe > dancing edge. Which is a great chain, but if you are like me you never want to do vorpal scythe again.

yeah melee get it in the ass. you have so many of you guys looking for pts. drgs,wars,drks,sams,rngs,thfs. an when was the last time you saw a pld ifg for 12 straight hours.. ??


you just all best hope they dont nerf nin. otherwise the number of jobs seeking. will indeed go thru the roof. because nobody will want to have a nin tank.an while your at it you can add nins to the waiting list then...:confused:
