NM Cancer GS drop

Can someone give info on this NM, such as; is it camped, what is the drop rate of the GS, and where is the spawn <pos>.

I could really use this item so please any info, i would really be thankfull.

Search is your friend, look for the term: "arondight"

Cancer pops from the ??? in the room with a bunch of Haunts near the zone (it's in the room below the cliff, there are two ???s there). You can trade a single Quu to the ??? once every 18 minutes or so. Cancer doesn't pop very often, so be patient.

so far, 11 quus given by me, and 5-6 by another LS DRK friend of mine. Always poped a robber crab... never Cancer.

I'm so discouraged that I'm saving for Nagan now. Screw Arondight.

Tag on another 6 Quus by me without Cancer pop, and about 8 by LS mate who didn't get the drop from Cancer. With some dedication (and some nice buddies) you'll get it eventually. I'll try 2 more nights of camping and if I don't get it, I'll lose my sanity and give up, maybe ^o^;;

yeah, what's hard about that NM is not only will Cancer barely spawn, but the drop rate itself sucks too.

i and my LS mates traded like 2 dozens of quus, and 2 Cancer spawns w/ 1 drop. we were even lucky that he at least dropped one.

did i win the roll? OF COURSE NOT. so give me some quus to eat. :mad: just kidding. :spin:

Im trying to get it, even though I just stuff myself with Mythril Heart. Still, Arondight looks fancy, and I like the look more. Also with it, I can have 900k extra anytime.

Maybe I could pop it when Im doing Spiral Hell quest .......

I have question for those who made Cancer pop. Do you kill the robber crab pop on that ??? or just let it disappear after a while? I just wanna make sure Cancer pop regardless the 'fate' of that Robber Crab.

whenever u trade a quu to ???, there's a chance that either one of them to spawn, so in theory, whether u kill that Robber Crab or not, Cancer should spawn regardless. but if i rememer correctly, ??? becomes "active" after a specific time since the last kill, so there's really no point in letting the Robber Crab just hang around. u r there to kill Cancer, so u should have enough manpower to kill Robber Crabs, don't u?

btw, i agree, the best thing about Arondight is that u can get it for the cost of quus, and obviously less time spent than u'd spend on farming for 900k elsewhere. (unless u get an ingot at BCNM or something like that.) save that 900k for Nagan maybe? :spin:

umm.. actually... by looking at the stats, probably yes... But from experience from PTing with another drk of the same lvl with Balmung... It isn't too much different from Mythril Heart... (actually the dispel from Mythril Heart kicks in more often than the one from Balmung).. But then again, Balmung does look the best out of all GSes in the game.. =P

I think the Ascalon looks like the Glorious sword. It's silvery with that little bulge thing at the top of the blade. I love that GS model, but the Ascalon has a low dmg stat.

I would take a Balmung or a Nagan as my endgame GS. I'm torn between which one I think is better, though. Balmung is better looking, has +5 accuracy, dispel effect, but I hate the -5% HP. The Nagan has a higher base dmg stat (84, which means your default damage is higher than with a Balmung), +10 HP, +2 DEX and VIT. Balmung costs more, but it's dropped off of Fafnir, who is an NM that I will be fighting more often as times goes by.

In term of pure stats, I think Nagan whips Belmung.

+5 acc isn't important at 72-75. Everything is VT. you don't need the Acc. Besides, Nagaon got +2 dex, so taht's like +1.5 acc anyway (2 dex = +1 acc and 2 dex)

Also we should know by now that +13 attack can't make up for +4 damage on a weapon on normal hits and WS.

Belmung has 5% HP penalty, but + dispel, so those cancel out in my book. Nagan also has +10 HP and +2 VIT as well... not too significant, but comes handy when soloing I suppose.

So over all, I'm gonna go with nagan. The price on cerebrus has balanced out. Nagan has gone up from 2.5 mil to 3 milion. While Belmung has dropped from 3.5 million to 3 million.

With the rise of so many NA HNM LS, fafnir is being hunted as daily affair, so belmung isn't THAT rare anymore I guess, while the same 2-3 HL smith still corners the Nagan market even as moer peopell are hitting Lv 70+ DRK. Which explains the price.
