In all honesty here; if you want my absolute opinion about Guillotine. It sucks, badly. It could be because i'm fighting things that I shouldn't at my level (groups nowadays demand to fight cocks at lvl 60). My first Guillotine did 58 damage. 58 damage, that's not a typo. I mean common, who wouldn't feel bad after they see the "uber" weaponskill so many people have claimed owns everything, do that much damage. My normal swings were doing 60-90. Sure, it destroys everything that is below IT and doesn't have high evasion but lets face it. Pretty much the only thing you fight 60+ is going to have high evasion which completely destroys Guillotines usefulness.

After that little incident with Guillotine. The group I was in didn't want me using Guillotine (for good reason too). We went back to the Vorpal Scythe skillchain which completely blew away the Guillotine skillchain we had setup for when I learned it. I didn't want to use Guillotine either.

Either what I said is true or A) I suck or B) I have extremely bad luck.

don't fight IT++ mobs. stick with VT and IT mobs you will make better xp. guillotine is not bad, it just can't chain well, so it's not used often in xp. i was using sickle more from 60-65

I have had really good Guillotines in XP Partys.....but never fought against a Torama...In gustav against gobs I did a 983...still stands as my record on XP Mobs.

Guillotine is just 4 regular hits. No modifiers except TP gain, the silence effect, and the element. If your accuracy and regular hit power suck on a particular target, so will Guillotine.

Otherwise imo, it's the most powerful lvl 60 WS in solo damage.

Just for the record, I've done 30dmg Guillotines (off an elemental lol, the silence helped though), and 1200+ on an IT exp mob sporting all buffs on myself.

Get a WAR or RNG to renkei with, Guillo > Raging Rush or Sidewinder works very well.
