Creative Macros?

Hey guys, ever since I got Dark Knight i've been wanting to come up with some cool Macros. But I lack the creativity. Was wondering if any of my fellow Dark Knights would like to share some of there macros to give me some ideas? please?

nothing is worse then having vital battle information spammed out of view by someone using annoying /p announcements of every single action they are taking, even though you can plainly see them using those actions.

Heh, seriously. Smacktalk during WS's is acceptable, but spam for every single action that may or may not affect me adds up pretty quick :/

Whatever you do, DO NOT use /say or /em.

And you can save the smack talking for your Provoke macro.

I play a level 62 white mage, and nothing bugs me more than the melee players spamming my window when I'm trying to see who's healing who. I need to coordinate my casting with the RDM and BLM, and your /party stuff definitely makes it harder from my point.

Do your healers a favor, and get rid of all your /party messages in your macros.

I have TP calls as well. Along with a healing macro that states who I've healed along with current MP after heal was used. The only other macro I have that has text is a pulling macro.

Gotta remember to remove the text out of my provoke macro next time i play; i was getting sick of it anyway.

Absolutely correct. In fact, ditch /p and /ls too. Use /sh. For example:

/sh USING SOULEATER GUYS LOOK AT ME
or my personal favorite in dunes
/sh CHARGING UP!!! BOOST!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHH

heh ya.. annoying macros are something for like lvl 1-20 new players.

Most of mine are all straight forward, and using decent calls

Most other Macros I just leave without /p msgs. Except for Thf having a macro to say whether you're Sneak attack is ready or not is pretty useful. Or just tell the person you are renkei'ing with when to start the renkei with a macro like the 3rd on my list.


I actually dont need Macro for using Last Resort or Souleater.. its easy enough (on PC) to do Ctrl+J for job abilities and click Souleater or Last resort ^^.

well, i like to put nifty stuff for my WS macros, not exceeding 2 lines, and the only other actions i take that use /p is

one line for TP report
one line for provoke (with additional ready announcement)
and one /say for my 2hr

eg for my Spiral Hell macro, it was inspired by something Novalmauge said to me when i gained the skill.

/ws "Spiral Hell" <T>
/p May your next life be bathed in blessed light...
/wait 1
/p Fly, angel of vengeance... ý!yý !! <call2>

I think this is fine, the gibberish is some kanzi i put in with a macro editor ^^

I put nifty lines in my WS macros, that is about it.

I use /echo a lot... all my reports and some of my actions are all /echo.

only /p I keep is TP macro which I try to include a lot of information so its a multiuse macro, like <tp> <t> WS Order renkei partner. and my cover macro is also in /p which is set up kinda like this:

/ja Cover <st>
/wait 2
/p <lastst> Come behind me for cover!

But thats about it... If I feel the need to make any nifty lines for my enjoyment I put on /echo as well, cuz frankly those nifty lines are solely for your enjoyment, only bothers other people, so meet both needs, and use /echo. No one will know you talk to yourself ^_-

/p incoming <t>

something like that to let people know you've pulled or are pulling...nothing worse than someone showing up with a mob and you had no idea they were pulling
