Raising drk/elemental magic

I need some suggestions, advice, and help on how to level my elemental & drk magic,... I'm really hurting. Mainly my elemental is really what I need to focus and catch up on.

So here's how I see it:

I buy some juice or drag a rdm for refresh and sit my self in a nice location to just cast away. So are there any areas where I might be able to do this? Like say the upper ledge in batillia downs? Though I doubt I'd get to much skill up there... Any advice is much appreciated.

Use it when exping, you should have some refresher in the PT and it really doesnt detract from exp pt's anyways.

Of course casting elemental spells all the time in exp pts isnt such a good thing (You arent for nuking ;p). So if you want to lvl elemental, stick to casting spells for bursting.

With good elemental you can get a decent 100-150+dmg burst.

treat ur magic as the same as your weapon skills... the places where u lvl ur weaponskills are also good places to up your enfeeble/elemental/drk skills. once you get stun, your drk magic will max itself pretty fast. i stun.

dark magic should always be capped. seems like there should be no excuse even if your a galka. with all the absorb spells, drain, aspir, an bio. capping drk magic shoud be as easy as capping scythe..

i dont believe a drk should have ever gotten a single elemental magic. it does crap for a mb. i think the highest i ever saw was 105 an that was on a lower lvl mob. it is a big drain too the mp pool. an i still cant drop a lvl 10 mob with anyother spell besides a stone2/water2 spell. an forget enfeebs spells. only one a drk ever uses is poison. after that notta. wonder why a damage dealer like a drk who can use spells was never given enhancing spells.?? hmm


as for lvling the magic. same rule is aplied as if you were lvling a weapon. find a mob 5-8 lvls higher then your magic spell lvl. then nuke away. but here is your bench mark for capped magic at lvl 52...goodluck....

My drk magic is pretty much up to par, I need to work on my enfeeble a bit more, and my elemental I might as well forget. I try to lvl them up but I'm not always top priority to be refreshed. I struggle alot to keep my drk magic capped, but elemental suffers for it and when I see my elemental bursts do crap damage its frustrating.

I leveled RDM for a while, got elemental and enfeebling to 100 and something, but elemental has become uncapped for my DRK. Im not going to bother capping it anyway, I used to nuke but ive realised that nuking is just taking away 1 or maybe 2 of your scythe hits per spell, which will do more damage. Of course, I'll buy all spells eventually but Im not going to worry about elemental. I have bio drain and aspir, but i run out of MP often so its hard to cap. Cant wait to get some cheap absorb stats available. Anyway.. my point was that elemental is pointless for a DRK... I just ramble alot.

This is how i cap my dark magic by the way..

Bio every mob before someone else does, or it wont allow you to raise dark magic at all (from my experiance). Only do it once, so you can save MP, because doing it again wont work unless it wears off anyway.

Make sure you have a little HP less than your max, so you can drain a mob and get some skill up. When i have full HP drain doesnt seem to give any skill up.

Lastly, Aspir anything that has MP.

When trying to raise dark magic, TP isnt important. Its impossible to get dark magic capped before leveling unless you rest after every battle.
