Spiral Hell and Cross Reaper

Can someone post a vid of Spiral Hell and Cross Reaper? I would really like to see them. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any vids of myself doing any WS (or anything for that matter ha), so the best i can do is offer a basic description.

Spiral Hell - Glowing runic markings in a circle on the floor below your character appear, you spin the scythe vertically in a slow motion and (just about once) and bring it down on the enemy, pinkish/purplish sorta explosion (small and vertical, like a pillar of light)

The animation is fast and not very visually impressive, but sorta cool if you're really tired of cross reaper and guillotine.


Cross Reaper - Ok this, like many WS/animations, varies with the race you play. For humes etc, they slice the enemy twice in an "X", quick succession, the animation is extremely fast. Each impact produces a ball of black/white energy to appear and fade (fast). For Elvaan, the impact part (with the ball of energy) is the same, but the body motion is different. The Elvaan will slice the enemy from Topleft -> bottom right, really fast, and if you pay close attention, when the scythe is at bottom right after initial slice, he spins his entire body, bringing the scythe around and back down the same way with added ferocity ^^

Nice, cant wait to get these, Do you have to do a Quest for Cross Reaper? I know for Spiral Hell you do, How hard is the Spiral Hell Quest? How hard is the (if there is one) Cross Reaper Quest?

Dont need quest for Cross Reaper. Dont know how hard the quest is for Spiral Hell though.

Galka's Cross Reaper is coolest looking IMO. I believe they jump up in the air while spinning around, and slice once going up and once again coming down to make the X cut.

mithra cross reaper is kinda wierd, its like we swing it around twice. I havent really looked close, but it looks like we go in a circle.

From the top hit down, then bring it all the way around and hit down from the top again. But it may be top down->bottom up. It's just so goddamned fast

Spiral hell, as with all the "new" quested WSes (savage blade etc) requires that first you hit the skill level for the WS (Spiral hell 250 scythe, Blackhalo 230 Club, etc) and must also be lvl 71 at least

You speak to the respective NPC that gives the quest fro that WS< each weapon type has a diff NPC that offers the respective quest. He then gives you a weapon of Trials (eg Scythe of Trials in Spiral Hell's case). You must then break the curse on the weapon by using it in battle vs easy prey and above monsters

Normal WS = 1 point
LV1 Renkei = 2 points
Lv2 renkei = 3 points
LV3 renkei = 5 points

you must close the renkei to get the point bonus.

When you accumulate 300 points, the latent effect on the weapon of trials will wear off, and u trade it back to the npc you got it from, then you go kill the NM for that quest, need a small alliance of LV65+, they're not very hard to kill.

Spiral hell NM is in den of rancor, Ground STrike NM is in western altepa, you get the picture. After you slay the NM, u check the ??? it spawns from
(first check spawns NM, after NM is killed, u check again to get key item)

You return to the npc for your quest and you get the WS.

Are the latent effects of the weapon good? Or do they gimp you?

The latent effects of all weapons of Trials are as follows.

+20 HP, and +10 to 2 elemental resistances.

However, here is a tip from me to you guys. The Latent Effect of Trial Weapons activates immediately, even if your hp is full, or whatever. So the moment u see that the latent effect is not there (you dont have +20hp and +10 to 2 elemental resistances while weapon is equipped) then you know you have accumulated enough points. You will see the Latent Effect wordings on weapon description, but it just wont be active anymore.

Don't be a fool like Apocalypse the newbie (that's me) and expect the words Latent Effect to disappear (haha.) Yeah i literally accumulated over 1500 points with my Scythe of Trials, and kept thinking what was wrong, hundreds of Darkness REnkeis and god knows how many skill up PTS.

These WSes are luxuries, they will not make you even better, Cross REaper and Spinning Slash are pretty much all you need. I just got the WSes as it was part of my goal to complete a rank 10 75 DRK. And about a month after nov when i started, they brought in the patch for the new WSes and lvl cap to 75, and i just HAD to have Spiral Hell and Ground Strike ^^

Just got it last sunday. It's not terriably visually impressive.

You make a very very fast (2 swings in maybe 0.3 seconds) x shaped cut. The motion is very fast. You don't jump or anything, just make the cross shaped cuts.

Here is a question to you veterans who have used it a lot:

Is it worth while to charge TP to like 200%, or 300% for this WS, since the discription said the damage is TP dependent. For guillotine, it's not worth while since TP only affect the duration of silence. Any insight? Thanks.

for cross reaper the animation is like, 1 slash going in, then you spin around and make the second slash....it took me a long time to realise this ...a very long time XD
