I highly doubt that Mikasa is really lv62 like his profile claims. Every single lv60+ drk that I've talked to has told me that the only real good thing about guillotine is the farming aspect...which is no longer there...so yeah. It is your first good ws though, but Cross Reaper and Spinning Slash are CLEARLY better.

please stick to hiding behind the melee and casting spells like you belong.

you obviously know nothing about melee.

You must have uber gear cause I've watched the adjacent damage output of Elvann DRK and their regular hits are not 120 per swing. I will admit that my regular swings are 80-85 (my criticals are barely 120 o_O), but Elvann swings on these coerls in Onzozo are going for 90-95. 120? even a decked out ranger can barely hit that mark. For reference, the ranger in my ppt hits for 90-95 using scorpion arrows (24 dmg), switch to demon arrows (34 dmg) and she'll close that gap.

These numbers are with meatkabob only, no other attack enhancing job abilities, ie. no Berserk. Here's my gear, with 10-12 more base STR being Elvann compared to Mithra @62, I would really like to know where the 50% greater damage per swing is coming from. Please do tell, cause I must be equiping the wrong items.

I hit for 100-140 per hit on normal hits. The only problem is so does the warrior I set party with lol (warrior doesn't tank is elvann and equips the same as me except uses great axe of course). I have the best equip possible snipers, assualt earings, huebergeon etc.....

im still 65 and have very little attack ups, im still wearing gimp ass AF, i have a coral earring and an assault, 1 sniper, one dex+3, Sando CP mantle(Leatherworker in my LS is getting me an Amemit once he get shigh enough) i hit Processionaires for 170-190, 260ish with criticals(which are enhanced by DEX).

Well... Processionaires are low def monsters. You will of course hit high damage on them. It's like the boreal hound for Genkai 2.

Oh, and keep in mind, I cast spells for 560 and 550 damage. If not for limiting factors (pld only...mp is not an issue with +mp recovery from dark staff and +1 pies, even less so when fighting steel shell), I would chain cast those. When was the last time you pulled aggro off a paladin that used invincible (without doing anything beyond normal attacking?)?

These are simple facts, not opinions. The only time cross reaper / spinning slash will do 1k+ damage is on things that are much lower level than you. Same thing with sidewinder (I've seen a 2k damage sidewinder outside of exp party...at the same time, only 1 NA ranger I've ever partied with has managed to *consistently* hit 1k damage inside an exp party, and he does so at considerable cost (e bow, amemit mantle +1, etc.)), and all the other highly overrated weaponskills in the game.

*Edit* Who's your blm anyways? My Blizzard III hits for 725 damage most times...

Maybe with soul eater, last resort, and blood weapon on...
But if you really want to talk about that...then I could just manafont and chain nuke the thing dead (manafont = no interrupts). The aforementioned ranger (the one with Euryptos bow, amemit mantle +1 (aka the best gear for a ranger)) doesn't do that much with his regular attacks (somewhere in the 115-125 range), and it is agreed by all that rng's are the best melee damage dealers by a clear margin.

processionares

are pretty weak. I'm a human DRK, and my hits always range 100-130 (wearing Sandy CP body and leg + food). Souleater I can hit for 220+ provided the mages keep me healed. SA+TA+Souleater + guillotine does 1000+ on these almost every time (provided they don't have cocoon on).

They sure beats Toramas in term of leveling fun. Toramas were such a constant headache for the tank and the mage, we are just glad we got out of there now... too bad I lost all 3 lots on Assult Jenkin, now I have no choice but to buy the hauberk by Lv 69... /cry
