Yeah..how do these exactly work, as in the amount you drain from them...sometimes I will drain 20, and sometimes 2, (level 16)
Does int effect the ammount drained? Or what...

    To my knowledge:

Your Dark Magic skill affects the chance of landing the spell, and how much damage it does.

Your INT increases the damage done, but not the resist chance.

It's still randomised in some way, obviously some mobs resist dark better than others (Drain will only do about 3-8 damage on Bats even with maxed Dark skill for that level). Aspir when it works, is your best friend... whenever you're fighting mobs it'll land on, use it.

(Aspir will work on some mobs which don't cast also, such as Crabs and Beetles, just experiment to find which ones).

you cannot "drain" more hps than your missing from you max so if ur at 70/100 the max u can "drain" is 30, (as far as i know it only effects the healing amount u still nuke for more but can only heal for that but i don't have much personal exp with it as my dkn is only 10)

dark magic skill has the biggest effect on drain/aspir. at level 55, with capped dark magic skill, drain can deal anywhere from 20-40 dmg (hard resist) to ~100 (soft resist?) to 180-200 (completely unresisted). if you have full hp and you do drain, it will still do damage. aspir drains anywhere from 1-80 or so mp.

          This is a common misconception.

Try draining a mob when you have full HP... the message will say Zero HP drained, but the mob will still take damage.

Really it's just a bug in the message, it should say how many HPs were removed from the mob, instead it says how many HPs you were healed by.

it's really not a misconception, i think most ppl realize it already,

drain will work regardless of what your HP is, if it's 100%, you can still drain 100HP off a mob
