Im currently a Level 10 Warrior, and At level 10 I bought a great sword to skill that up before i became a dark knight, which at that point I would skill up my scythe. The problem is, My Greatsword is skilling up ridiculously slow, And the only monsters that do boost it up quickly are hard because even though they con as easy, they con as high def as well, and they are very hard to hit, which makes them hard to kill. I currently fight strolling saplings, vultures, quadavs, and stone eaters. My Greatsword skill is currently at 18.

One of the most common noob errors that just about all of us were guilty of when we were noobs, and we all regret, myself included.Originally posted by Lionrugi
Well Im trying to be a dark knight, so axes wont be useful to me anyway.
1)Kank the GS
2)Kank the scythe.
3)Make Great Axe your main weapon
4)level WAR to 30
5)Buy a bronze Zaghnel and equip it on WAR
6)Level up scythe skill to 40 in about 90 minutes on lv20 mobs
7)Start playing DRK using scythe
oh how i wish i had done it this way.

But why skill up great axe when I am never going to use it After I become a Dark Knight? And believe me, Im not going to ever go back to my WAR main after I become A DRK. Can someone just tell me if i should max out my Great Sword before partying or not?

No, you don't need to max out your greatsword skill. Just try to keep it within 3 levels of your current level if you can.
As for why to work on greataxe, well, you need to level warrior to 37 some day, and you'll want either greataxe or axe. After lv.30 it's a lot less en vogue to use B or lower weapons.

weapon skill will not cap until you start levelling in parties, as you'll have to fight evens or better. skill cap depends on your level, and how far your weapon levels depends on the level of the monster you're fighting. once you start partying, weapon skill caps relatively quickly after you level.
as war, your A weapons are axe and great axe, so you should use one or both, then other weapons if you can keep them all near cap. if you want a bit of a headstart on drk weapon skills, you can skill up scythe and great sword after you finish off levelling war at L37.
weapon skill caps:
