Well, for about 50 levels I've neglected to level my greatsword (ya, I should have known better) and now I'm looking to level it up as much as possible. I'm on the verge of lv67 and my GS skill is only about 113. What would be the best way to raise the skill up? I've tried soloing crabs in Kuftal, but they really haven't yielded many skill ups. I've heard of skill up PTs.. but I've yet to see them on my server.. (ifrit) anyway, suggestions would be much appreciated.

Check a skill chart and find what mob someone with that lvl of ws would be fighting, then go fight that. Basically just going through all your old lvling spots, but very quickly until your ws gets close to what would be your lvl cap since you can't usually solo those effictivelly and could probably get the rest in party. Best ws progression comes from fighting the right lvl mob for that lvl of skill. Too low and no progression, too high will cause too many misses. -
join alliance key hunts, might need to rough it out with skillups solo until its closer to 130ish.Comment

g1 till 150 then do coffer hunts from there on.Comment

Since I use GS with my WAR, I've been leveling up my WAR instead to use GS. My GS just cleared 100 and got my WAR to level 34. Kill 2 birds with one stone IMHO. I'm trying to get WAR to 40 so my GS isn't that gimped. If that's not possible ... have some nice people in your LS come to help you (Really just need a higher level WHM/RDM friend heal you while you take on something that might give you a rough time).My StatsComment
